Engagement

I was talking with my b/f on the phone last night and he told me that in 2 months when it is my birthday he is going to propose to me. He said he wants to be with me for the rest of his life and he feels like now he is ready to take that next step. He told me that he had been thinking about it for the last 4.5 months, and when I was on vacation like 2 weeks ago he was talking to my mother on the phone and asking her my ring size and everything. My mother is very happy for us as well. Well, we've been going out for 1 yr 2 weeks and 3 days...I dunno I just felt like sharing.

First of all Congrats.
Here comes the bad part.
One: It should of been a suprise.
Two: You've only been dating 1 year. I think thats a bit too soon.
Are you's going to have a long engagement? Or get married asap?

My sister and her fiance had only been dating a year when he proposed to her. I've never seen her so happy. They're getting married in December of this year when they come back to Kansas. :D

We were having some sort of converation the other night and it just kind of came out. I do kind of wish it was a supprise, but even though it's not I'm still very happy, and yeah we are going to have a long engagement I'm thinking about 3-4 years and I think he is too.

Thats cool, i mean its totally up to you two. and if you really want it to be a surprise, tell him that, i would lol

I kind of do want it to be a supprise, but I kno that if I tell him that I want it to be a supprise he will wait even longer to propose to me so that I'll be all like "I thought he was going to propose to me on my birthday" and then one day after out of the blue he does I'd be like "wow that was a supprise." But I just don't think I'd be able to wait. After he didn't propose to me on my birthday I don't think I'd be able to wait for the day that he did propose to me.

I mean he hasn't said how he is planning to propose to me. That part is still a secret and I think I'm going to leave it that way.

Yeah that's true, but at this point I'm not going to say anthing about it and let him do whatever he wants. It's just special that it's comming from him.

*laughs* It does kinda take some of the fun out of it if your expecting it since my boyfriend kinda told me too and then it was just a kinda "So...what do you think of spending the rest of your life with me?" thing lol Still waiting for the official proposal though since he hasn't given me a ring yet *but I already kinda have figured out what he's doing* but we'll have been dating a year in November, I think thats a perfect length of time.

^ Ofcource the way he proposes ia a supprise, and I'm going to keep it that way. And yeah that is a long engagement, but we're going ot wait until I'm finished with college and he saves up a lot of money for us.

I was talking to my b/f on the phone 3 nights ago and he asked me what I wanted him to do for my birthday and I told him I wanted him to marry me...I was half kidding because we're not ready to get married yet even though we love eachother vwry much, but then he was like ok lets do it. But I knew he was only half serious and then hwe got into a conversation about it and he ended up telling me for the second time that he is planning on proposing to me on my birthday...lol...I wasn't trying to bring it up...But I thought it was so funny and cute at the same time.

We are going this week as soona s we have time. I have been in school all week so I could not go. As soon as I have time we are going. I am hoping we can go tomorrow.

^^ Well if you couldn't believe that then just listen too this she and her husband went down to the supermarket that our friend works at and they demanded he give them money but he would not give them any so they told him that they were going to beat me, my mother, my b/f and his mother up so we better watch our backs. We are all going to the police on Friday night.

THEY TOOK A KEY AND SCRATCHED MY MTOHER'S CAR AND THEY TOOK A BASEBALL BAT AND DENTED THE CAR TOO. wE WENT TO THE POLICE AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT THE LETTERS BUT THEY WOULD GET THEM FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE DAMAGES TO THE CAR. aND TODAY i FOUNF OUT THEY MOVED AWAY FROM TOWN AND IN WITH HIS MOTHER. tHEY ARE ALMOST 1.5 HRS AWAY...yEY!!! aND IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THEY ARE COMMING BACK. (sorry for all caps but once I noticed I didn't feel like going back and fixing it).

My boyfriends aunt (whon he lives with) Told me that he was going to do it sometime soon to me and i was so upset.. i want that to be a surprise no one should ever tell you when it is going to happen..

Although I guess it should have been a supprise it was still very special when my b/f asked me to marry him. Yes he still did it on the same day he was originally planninng to, but it was still very special. Although he didn't get down on one knee and officially ask me per say...What he did was hand the ring box to his nephew who is 5 and had him walk over to me and hand it to me. Then I opened the box and after I put on the ring he said "Well what do you say?" I was like "Yes" He only did it that way because he was very nervous because there were alot of people at my party. He told me he really wanted to do it when we were by ourselves so he wouldn't have been nervous and he could have done it the right way, but he knew how much I wanted him to do it at my party so he did. It was like the cutest thing ever though.
