What do you do when the one you love is a thousand miles away

Here's my delima im in love with someone who lives in the UK its a problem because i live in the US and the other problem is is that im into girls and i am a girl and the person im in love with is a girl. this isnt a real problem if ur not a Christian but i am and i hate going against my God but its so hard to go against my heart and deny my true feelings. i try to be good and do what the bible says but its so much harder coz how do you fight love especially love as strong as mine. ive never felt the way i do for my sweet amy with anyone else and the worst part is what do i do if we ever get a chance to get together. i know i couldnt get away from her i cant even get away from her now every day that goes by that i dont hear from her or get to speak to her i hurt. i know if we got together i wouldnt wanna leave her and then according to the bible id be condemned and thats not fun. y cant i be loyal to God and be able to love who i want i mean loves love and i dont think anyone or anything should tell us otherwise. God made love right so y does He deny us what we love? why does He condemn us for, if you think about it, we cant help? i dont like to contradict Him but this i just dont understand. i dont wanna live without amy at all i mean i know i might not ever even have a chance but this problem still weighs on my mind from time to time. if you could comment me back and try to give me some good advice on the subject.

Wow... well, first off, you found Amy for a reason... she must have been sent by God, right? I mean, she sounds like she is the one for you. How else could you get lucky with that?

Secondly, I never heard that there was something wrong with lesbians... only gay men, isn't that right? The reason why I say this is that my ex-boyfriend was a huuuuuge homophobe. He hates gay people, with a passion... but... he always liked lesbians. So one day, (he is Christian btw), I wanted to trap him and I said, Hey, doesn't God say it is wrong for people to be homosexual, why do you like lesbians so much why is that okay but not men? And he told me that in the bible it never once mentions lesbians being a sin. I believe him, although I never read the bible, I know he wouldn't lie. So think to yourself, are you sure the bible mentions anything about lesbians?

Sweetheart, you only get to live once. You only get to believe in things once. You only get to love once. You only get to die once. Everything in life happens in singles... and my advice is, follow your heart (lame I know) but true. Do what your heart is telling you to do. I really like what the above person said (Jaime?)... if God is forgiving, he will understand. Jesus gave up his life for you... Jesus believed in love because he died for it.

I know many Christians who do not believe homosexuality is a sin, so I guess it all depends on how you choose too look at how someone else translates a little book. God is not technically condemning you for anything, you are condemning yourself.

Thanx for the post and you have a lot of good points that i never really considered. honestly, i dont really think about being in love with amy and the consquences, im mainly worried about the long run. i espicially like the last part and i also agree with jamie about what she said earlier.

to answer your question...
technically lesbians arent mentioned in the bible but homosexuality is and it goes against what God intended but since i am a lesbian i go against it but it really is hard to deny your heart.

This is a very interesting topic because everyone has their different opinions on it. I think it is not wrong to be gay. Why would someone choose to be gay. Many people hide it for years and are ashamed of this. I have been studying this in one of the classes I am taking.

It is said that when a person is born gay, they have an extra chromosome in their brain that flips their sexuality. I am just learning about this so spare me if I am wrong. But who can help it if this indeed true?

My mother believes that it is against Gods rules to be gay, but it is something that cannot be helped. If you are gay, you are gay. I'm beginning to believe that actually.

Ive never thought about the whole adam and eve thing good point...but about God being not very smart i have to disagree with coz remember the bible was written before the time of technology i mean they wore robes everywhere and were simpler times so the bible had to make since to them as well as us so i think the bible might not directly talk about one main topic but hints on it or symbolizes it for all generations to somewhat understand it.
other than that your other points her smart and i agree on the last point about homosexuality. and the first point you made was very perseptive too.
