My son and I spent hours talking tonight and he made the laughing comment (me, not so laughing) that I could be a grandmother in the next 2-3 years. I told him to shut his mouth (laughing, but not really), and that we hadn't had the condom talk for no reason. He said he already knew. I told him that just because he was a boy that it didnt make him any less responsible if he were to get a girl pregnant. I also told him that for any number of reasons he could end up raising it. I asked him what he would do. He said "MOOOOMMMM You know what to do! !! I dont know how to change a diaper!!" I said, "that's why we having this talk now".

Oh my word, wow mothers really have to go through so much than what they are given credit for. you should try introduce him to teenagers who have got babies just so he can see how hard life is with a baby.

i have a lot of friends my age, some slightly older, some slightly younger who have already had babies and wow they are having a tough time, they all wish that they had of been more responsible and thought about it more.

They have basically lost their lives, they have been forced to give up everything, their schooling, careers, friends and ovcoarse their social life so he should just be made aware of what he would have 2 give up if he did make a girl pregnant

Since man first walked or climbed in trees we've been having this conversation, that will never change with or without condoms!

I had to give that talk to my sister since I'm the only one she listen's too... my mom and aunt thought I did so well with her, I had to give it to my cousin and I'm lined up to give it to my other cousin and my little sister come the time. :/

Sometimes people will only really learn by making their own mistakes. Sad but true.
Sometimes it's too late by then. I hope more people were wise enough to learn from others' mistakes.
