I was looking forward to it but I am unhappy with their pick for Edward.

I'm really excited for it, I think the Edward is perfect, but that's completely my opinion. Who did you guys think would be a better pick for the cast, if any?

  • Beautiful Chaos

Off the top of my head, I am not sure who I would pick, but not the one they did lol He just does not personify the Edward built in my head by her words.

I think that the actor playing Edward is good, but not perfect. In the Uk we have to wait ageeees until it comes out in like 4 weeks and 4 days......I'm not counting ;)

    Just warning though...

PLEASE (I'm begging here), DON'T discuss the film without a spoiler warning first! It doesn't come out in the UK until the 19th December! It's not fair!

Is that fair enough? It's not just for me, but for all of the people outside the US!

TWILIGHT SPOILER WARNING DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW

I actually think I could have lived with what's his face as Edward but his performance was horrible for me. He wasn't the cool, seductive Edward, he was really awkward. The effects sucked as well, it took me back to the 80's and even then it was questionable, like those lame effects in Power Rangers or something. It was definetely lacking and is more hype than anything else, I don't think I could give away my creativity like that. If the second one is better it will be because it lacks Edward and his awkwardness, though I hope they improve the effects with all the cash they made this weekend.

TWILIGHT SPOILER WARNING DON"T READ IF YOU DON"T WANT TO KNOW

I have to agree with you BC. I went with my daughters who had read all the books. I personally did not read the books but my daughter filled me as she was reading. I took my 3 daughters to the movies with 7 of their friends. I warned my daughter ahead of time that the movie is never as good as our imagination leads us into the book. She agreed after the fact. I did not like the way the movie ended (much like the first book ended abruptly)

Agree that Edward would have been better cast as someone else and that he was very awkward. He was not nearly the seductive vampire that I thought he would be.

Guess I am older than most here and have always believed that the whole vampire thing should be intriguing. Like Barnabus in Dark Shadows. But that was ages ago......sigh

Oh dear......from what I've heard it's not very good. Lol me and my friends are going to go see it in a massive group, we've made t-shirts and everything. Quite a few will be disappointed by the sounds of it :S

I watched Wanted over the weekend, I thought it was pretty good, some pretty funny parts, not exactly what I was expecting, I'd recommend it if you have not seen it.

I watched 2 Fast 2 Furious the other day.

It was... different :S Anyone else got an opinion on it?

  • Beautiful Chaos

I like the first fast and the furious, wasn't a fan of the rest.

I'm not big on the Fast & Furious films. They bore me. And the speeding car engine sound drives me insane. Films like that just seem to be about cars, overrated men and women, sex, and more cars.

    Bleugh.

But this man finds faith in Jesus Christ and it changes his life around...An amazing story that will touch your heart forever...Anyone else seen it?

Just recently watched Twilight. I'm a huge fan of the books! :D But as for the movie, it was a complete disappointment; complete with horrid effects & bad acting. >:(

Madagascar 2 has to be one of my favorite animated films this year, that and Bolt! I cracked up when Alex (as a cub) made different expressions while saying "Oooh!" then "Ahhh!" Too adorable! And Rhino, the hamster, was hilarious!

I rented Wanted once before & have already bought the DVD. It beat my expectations! I especially love the part where he grabbed his keyboard and smoked his "friend" across the face while the F, U, C, K, Y & O keys and a tooth flew across the screen! XD

I also recently watched Seven Pounds (again) & I bawled (again, lol). One of the best movies this year I've seen thus far, and it met my expectations! :')

"Just recently watched Twilight. I'm a huge fan of the books! :D But as for the movie, it was a complete disappointment; complete with horrid effects & bad acting. >:("

Totally agree, the sexual tension in the book, did not relay to the movie screen, it all seemed more like painful awkwardness lol

Madagascar 2 was funny, I love cartoons, I don't care how old I am, my daughter didn't want to see it so I took my sister lol

Wanted was good too and that was one of my favorite parts as well lmao

    "...painful awkwardness lol"

^ Painfully awkward for both for the actors as well as their characters. Not to mention painful to watch!

I love cartoons too, and no matter how old I get I always will! During Bolt when he finds Penny, sees her with his replacement and thinks that she's forgotten all about him, yeah I ALMOST cried! LMAO

Lol one of my favorite movies is Toy Story and when Buzz finally realized he was just a toy and couldn't fly, yeah, I cried, then laughed lol

On my recent flight to Greece & Turkey I watched the movies "Yes Man", "Defiance" & "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (as well as a few other movies I'd already previously seen). All three movies were incredibly good considering I love Jim Carry's antics, am interested in history & couldn't resist such a marvel as "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". I cried at the end of that one, haha.
