Oh 'The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button was so sad! At the end I just wanted to cry, it was heart breaking.

Has anyone seen Shooter? It's about this ex-assassin who gets set up by the FBI. It's really good, and quite clever :)

I absolutly can't wait for "X-men Origins: Wolverine" to come out! Big fan, lol.

As a young child, I always watched the X-men cartoons &, of course, Logan/Wolverine was my favorite character (and still is). Just recently I've seen on television some of the newer cartoons, and that they've changed the name from X-men (the name I remember from my childhood) to Wolverine and the X-men. Haha, he's that popular.

Just a little while ago, for about less than a month I'd been searching for the movie "Phonebooth". It's an early 2000 movie I believe, and one of my favorites. I never gave up searching, but didn't expect to find it. Then, one day in Walmart, there it was! It was weird, but I was thrilled nonetheless.

Just goes to show you the power of your mind & of the law of attraction. So now, I'm hoping to be able to find "The Boondock Saints". :P

It really was sad. I did cry at the end, and near the beginning, and halfway through. I cried through almost the whole movie while on a first date. Haha. But I loved it so much.

I can't wait til New Moon come out!

  • Elizabeth

^ Neither can I! The movie "Twilight" was a complete disappointment... The only reason I'm going to watch "New Moon" is to see Jacob & the pack (big Jacob Black fan)! I've seen previews & a sneak peek of the movie, and have to say I'm impressed. I was really hoping that they'd make the 'wolves' look decent & not ugly like the ones in Underworld trilogy or Gingersnaps trilogy (good movies nonetheless), because in my mind when I thought of Jacob Black & the rest of the pack I thought of them as majestic. I wasn't disappointed. :)

I watched "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" in theaters, and in my opinion it was amazing; in all aspects. It had quit a bit of profanity, sexually suggestive scenes & some randomness, but it is a must see nonetheless. :)

When I saw the trailor for New Moon, I was disappointed a little bit, because in the book, that's so not what happened. I can't wait to see it, so I can see Robert Pattinson. Lol. No matter how good or bad the movie is I will always love RPattz. Lol.

Read the script for it. I'm not a twilight fan and the screenplay further put me off. It's all talking, and if that's what the book is, then I'll forget about reading it at all.

"When I saw the trailor for New Moon, I was disappointed a little bit, because in the book, that's so not what happened."

^ But that's to be expected.

I thought they did the meadow really good in the New Moon trailer, and the wolf. But I was really really disappointed because they didn't follow the book with that scene. In the trailer, Jacob is the only wolf there and Bella sees him transform. In the book, there are others wolves and Bella doesn't see any transform.

I read a copy of the screenplay, and I would go through it again but it just was really bad to me. Sorry. But I think there were actually more than one wolf in the scene. That Bela describes them as bears or something like that.

Yeah, I think the first scene like that involves four wolves and she thinks she sees Edward or something. But if you have questions I might be able to answer a few. Like I said, though, it lost my attention and fast.

It's to be expected when they take a novel & make it into a motion picture that they change the story in some way.

From what I saw of the previews (as much as the previews are willing to give away) the "meadow scene" you are describing from the previews was actually two separate scenes. Or at least I saw evidence of such. But it's hard to tell, I think it can go either way. I guess we'll see when New Moon comes to theaters. Regardless, I think that the change they made, if any, to that/those scene(s) worked out rather well. Not all changes are bad, some actually make it better.

I know it's to be expected. Practically every movie is like that. I saw Twilight before I read the book, an when I read the book, all of Edward and Bella's conversations were pretty much in bio lab class, not so much outside of school. I do still like the movie, but still, atleast try to make it like the book.

  • Beautiful Chaos

I have watched the movie while reading the book, just to see the differences and some things they changed just seemed unnecessary. The awkwardness of it all also threw me off, but it must be hard to decide and what I consider pivotal moments, might not be for someone else. I am kind of glad this one will be mostly Bella and Jacob because the Bella/Edward scenes seem to lack too much for me. It has to be hard to take written word and put it on the screen.

"I am kind of glad this one will be mostly Bella and Jacob because the Bella/Edward scenes seem to lack too much for me."

^ That's exactly how I feel; very dissatisfied, as you know, haha.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

Just watched Gran Torino not too long ago. Someone asked why they didn't tell the viewers what he was suffering from throughout the movie. Perhaps this is because he was continuously smoking, as well as the consequences of his smoking is foreshadowed when Tao tells him he should quite because it isn't good for his health, and they figured that the viewers would naturally assume it was cancer caused by his smoking. That's at least what I guess, it seems obvious.

Whatever the reason is they did not outwardly tell the viewers about his illness, to me the point of his "mystery" illness was not of any importance to the movie. What I believe was of extreme importance to the movie was not how he was dying, but rather WHY he did died. He died seeking the justice Sue rightfully deserved. That is courageous, respectable & inspirational.

Went through the script for The Lovely Bones. While it held my attention, I was confused a lot. Maybe I should have read through parts of the book first.

Anyone seen the previews/sneak peeks of "The Vampire Diaries" trilogy? For those of you don't know they're a series of books that were published long before Twilight, that now have become a television series. I believe the first episode airs on September 10th. I've never read the books, which I should, but "The Vampire Diaries" series looks FAR BETTER than the Twilight movie (at least I still have the book)!!! I can't wait till it airs. I'm sure I won't be disappointed this time, lol.

  • Normal is the Watchword

I like the actors they picked for it (I loved them in Smallville) but I'm not watching it. I can not take more vampires/human relationships. Even if Twilight was made far after them.

Anyone read the Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan? Have you seen the trailer for the upcoming movie "Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistance" (essentially all three of the first books in one movie)? The reason I ask is, because I want to know what you think about their cast for Mr. Crepsley and the all around direction they've gone in.

I'm a big fan of the Cirque du Freak series. But after seeing this trailer for the movie, I'm highly disappointed for two reasons. One, that they cast John Riley as Mr. Crepsley. Mr. Crepsley, from what I interpreted, is sophisticated. Riley, in general as well as in the trailer, comes no where near close to being able to portray this (not to mention he just doesn't look the part). Second, this series is supposed to be fantasy/mystery. Which the directors had covered, but it's sub genres are horror/suspense not comedy. When I watch the trailer, all I see is a joke. There is some droll throughout the series, but as you read you are more overwhelmed by the macabre. After all, is Darren Shan not referred to as the "Master of Horror"?

But, I have to admit, I do still want to see it. Setting everything I know about the books; series, aside, it looks like a funny movie. And who knows, maybe I have it all wrong or maybe it won't be as bad as I assume it will be.

For those of you concerned about the "meadow scene" in New Moon & thought they'd portrayed it differently from the books, like I'd said before, those were two separate scenes. Now, here is a recent clip to further confirm it.

I had a movie night lol So first...

Zombieland, way better than I thought it was going to be, it was funny, good movie.

The Vampire's Assistant, it was okay, I think I would like to read the book and compare, a few parts dragged for me, good fight scene though.

Ice Age 3 was funny, I love cartoons, Sid never fails to make me laugh.

Zombieland is the best zombie movie I've seen thus far, along with Shaun of the Dead and Doomsday. My first impressions of it was skepticism, but having given it the chance and watching it in theaters I can't wait till it comes out on DVD because I'm picking it up! :)

The Cirque Du Freak series are much better than the movie, trust me! Although the movie did look like it'd be a funny movie.

    Did anyone see Avatar?

Best action movie of the year? I think so. Deff surpassed my expectations. I didn't believe almost all of it was animated.. It looked way too real.
