Yet another title contest!

Wow, it's been forever since I've done a contest but I LOVE them and have been craving a good one. So here yah go! Some titles are from songs, others are just some off the top of my head. But I hope you have fun!!!

Down....
my world crashes!
Our home has burned from flames
to just a pile of ashes.

A pet dies.
Our kitty's in another place.
Brought to me half alive
with oxygen mask on her face.

Dies in my arms.
My baby's pet!
Killed by a fire
that he accidentally set.

All locked inside.
Feelings he wont share.
Mourning the loss
of a kitty beyond care.

"It's okay"
I say to him.
"I know that it wasn't
just a whim".

But I can't erase
his endless guilt
from seeing his kitty's gasping body
suddenly wilt.

A child's dare.
A family's home and pet.
Killed by a fire,
he accidentally set.

Coffee and Cigarettes

White is your favourite but the hardest to be made
When you believe innocence is just a facade.
"I'm too good at smiling, but I never laugh",
Drowning my clothes in a cigarette bath.

"We're like tetris pieces, the way we fit together"
I refused to say that is the side of you I like better.
Another side hid in the back of your head,
Comes out only when your faith is half dead.

Picked you a daisy that had turned itself black,
This is the innocence you'll ever have back.
Took your smile straight back from hell,
So short of breath, "you know me too well".

Fell asleep with myself, my true one and only,
Too often confused are alone and lonely.
Eyes as white as a coffee stained jaw,
Remembering what it's like for feet to meet floor.

Fell asleep but woke up in the night, my body tingling.
Knew that you were dreaming of me with feathers mingling
On my back, so wrong to think I could carry you,
Then you dreamt of me alone, surprised to find that I flew.

I'm Already Gone

In these past two weeks we've only spoken twice
This lack of communication slowly killing me inside
Just cause I don't show emotion, you think I'm cold
Baby you'd be shocked if you knew how much I've cried

Is it surprising to know that everyday wait by the phone
Still loving you even though I'm drowning in heartache
Wishing we could go back to how it was, rectify the past
Though I'm well aware loving you was my biggest mistake

Tried so desperately to fix this disastrous mess we created
Still so indecisive, want it all back then don't want to know
Been apart for a while yet you still control this heart of mine
How can you say you love me then do nothing but ignore?

Lacking your affection causing me to become so numb
Can't you tell me how to deal with this sorrow and pain
After everything we've been through, now nothing left
Was everything we pledged to each other really in vain?

Maybe you're realizing you still have my heart and soul
But let me warn you, don't think you can still lead me on
Though it may be a while of, eventually the day will arrive
When you realize you want me back, but I'll already be gone

Flow of Death

A full sheet of collapsing entity,
falls onto my sorrow heart
as I dream of your voice,
of every lasting moment we shared.

Our love is like a sweet song,
being played over and over.
Yet with each note strung,
or each vocals sung,
it's nothing like heard before.

We are a couple
living for years on this wretched earth,
living through love,
with the same two hearts,
yet a new beginning every morning.

Your presence gives me a chill,
as when a poem does when each word,
each phrase reaches your heart.

You are as a poem to me
that I memorize word for word,
that I reread until the morning arrives.

Then you shall still remain my poem,
but with different words,
more fantastic than the words before.

Yet death lingers into our future,
will we stay together as souls.
Or mindlessly fall,
fall into oblivion with the others.

The souls that lost their meaning
when love escaped their lips.
Shall we fight it and live as ghosts,
feeling the cold emptiness,
never touching, speaking to others,
people around you living?

Will love be enough when death seeps in?
The question also flows,
almost like your poem and our song does.
But this flow is different,
it flows constantly like a river;
of blood through our veins.

Mommy Dearest

My mother
The one supposed to be your best friend
How come I don't feel the same way?
My mother who's trying to steal my freedom away

Too overprotecting, I hardly can breath
The cage I'm in is locked silently
My life already planned out in front of me
Mom? Don't I have anything to consider to say?

My opinions don't mean a thing
And always reminding me her words are the right thing
Never a kiss, never a hug
It makes me sad that coldness has taken over our hearts

Please let me live my own life
Make my own mistakes
And don't tell me I told you so
Since you don't really know what has been going on
I have to learn from life the way I want it so

You are losing your child this way can't you see?
And that's because of your own choice, you want it this way not me
I didn't want this you know that, the fights, the arguing
But you give me no choice, the future uncertain ahead

I can honestly say that I hate you right now
Those awful names you called me
Aren't the ones said by a mother your only captured by hate
So mommy dearest where will we go from here?

I just want you to let me go
It won't be easy for you that I know
But for the both of us it will be a better thing
To accept the changes that are going to be in both of our lives

The morning tastes stale in my mouth as I inhale,
Slowly opening my weary eyes to the new world.
Light seeps into my pores, encompassing all limbs,
Its warmth reminds me of your hands old whims.

As I twist and burst out of my cotton cocoon,
Aches and nausea remind me never to drink again.
The carpet feels cold under my bare naked sole,
And I'm reminded of each precious moment you stole.

Through the walls a beep resounds and reaches my ear,
Morning is official now --- as unwelcome as he is.
Dragging my limp body out of bed, I make my way
Through the empty rooms that still echo your Betray.

The kitchen swallows me whole into its walls, taunting,
While familiar cravings stir within my heart and mind.
Your perfectly framed face rests directly across from me,
Calmly representing nothing but hurt and falsity.

That night I found you `dancing` with those secret silhouettes,
Is the reason I'm still crying between my coffee and cigarettes.

Any update on the results?

Omg. You guys must all hate me...I've just been so busy. I got engaged so sad to say this has been the last thing on my mind, with planning everything. So sorry to all. I'm posting the results now. Again, SO SORRY!!! :(
