How many of these questions have you googled?

    Haha.
I don't have a clue to some of them.
Others I think are common sense? Lol.

XSinglexRosexPetalx: Most likely because even though it may be considered "old" or an "oldie" we still listen to the music therefore it is still fresh in our mind and we consider it to be "new" to us each time we hear it. Now that's just a guess, not really sure...

Well I wouldn't say they love to get red carded, them seem to get pretty angry sometimes and yell and flaunt their piece of mind on how they did nothing to wrong. But the reason is most likely because they "took out" or "injured" an opponent or rival team in some way shape or form.

Probally because more blood rushes to the head and or your blood is pumped faster because your heart is pumping faster...therefore causing heat which is due to the vast amount of blood running through your body at a fast pace...but again that is just an educated guess.

Well one reason would be because most people don't want to get wet from the snow, rain, etc. Another reason would be because someone may be bald, and so on. Just because heat escapes more from the ears doesn't mean a lot. It's like asking why do people wear clothes? Well lets see...to keep warm, to cover up, etc. it's pretty much the same concept.

I have no idea why cows have black and white spots...that is like asking why do people have different color hair, and the answer is because they have different pigments just like animals do. So I would assume that would be the answer.

Why not? Why do humans talk? Why do dogs bark? Why do cats meow? It is the way they understand eachother that is why, it is their, "language" sort-to-speak.

Why do dogs eat bones? To teeth, because they enjoy it? Why do dogs eat socks? Never heard of dogs eating socks but then again dogs tend to eat a lot of differnt things, like bones. Anyways, I would say because they like it? It is like a toy to them, they have fun with it while trying to rip it apart? But really I have no idea.

My philosophy is because you like to learn and here is a quote in which says it all:

"THE WAY TO KNOWLEDGE IS LEARNING....
THE WAY TO LEARNING IS ASKING...."

Well simply because not everyone has all the answers, of course Einstin was very intellectual person. However like I stated you can be a genius and not know everything hence the reason for this quote,

"THE WAY TO KNOWLEDGE IS LEARNING....
THE WAY TO LEARNING IS ASKING...."

Simplyfrigid: Actually everything I answer with a detailed answer is something I know or have learned about in the past or even heard something about a long time ago though passing.

All questions in which I don't know I won't answer or I'll simply tell the person I don't know the answer, I may look it up and I may quote or give a link, but other than that, It is 100% all me. :)

    Thanks....

Why do people call burnt orange burnt?

    Why does Myspace hate me?

Why do some people get called dramatic when normally the "labeler" is more dramatic?

Why do people say water doesn't have a taste?

    i'm done for now. :]

  • Italian Stallion

XSinglexRosexPetalx: I have never heard of burnt orange, but I assume it is not burnt hence your question. If I where to guess, I'd say it is because it looks burnt but really isn't, it's more the visual effect on the person than the taste I would say?

Not really sure, but I would say because it isn't yourspace, it is myspace silly...get with the program...lol

Well the person labeling the other person is so dramatic that he/she doesn't realize it, therefore to them the other is dramatic and they aren't...hence the reason for labeling even though the labeler is more dramtic...at least that is how I look at it...hope that made sence.

Water is tasteless to many simple because it doesn't have a distinct flavor. However, in my opinion water does have taste, water is consisted of many minerals in which does give it some sort of taste, it may not be much, but it is there if you are searching for some kind of taste/flavor. That is for most bottled water...Tap water is a little different, many people have clorine in their tap water as well as other small amounts of other minerals from the pipes in which the water travels...although tap water in most instances has clorine it is in a very small amount, not enough to harm you, but in the long run I'm sure it can do some type of damage to your system.

  • InvisiblyHeartless

    I'm allergic to chlorine...
    =p

    more questionsss

Do you like black eyed peas ?
    (the food)

What kind of music is The Maine?

Why do some people say constellations instead of stars?

Why are movies (almost) never as good as books?

Why don't colored pencils come with erasers?

    thanks :]
    i'm done for now. again.
    thanks, lol

  • Italian Stallion

XSinglexRosexPetalx: I don't think I've ever had black eyed peas before, but I would assume I would like them.

I'm assuming that is a group/band? I have no idea, I have never heard of them before.

People say "constellations" because that is what it is, it is a series of stars that make a distinct image. An example of that would be the little dipper and the big dipper. So although it is a series of stars, they call it a constellation because it makes an image.

Well for one it is easier to discribe something via writting then visualization. There are words you can use to discribe something that would be highly difficult to capture via film. Therefore in most cases books are better written than movies making the book be a better choice of entertainment to some, but not all.

HA!!! I never really thought about that, and honestly I don't know the answer. I would assume there are "high-end" colored pencils that might have an eraser at perhaps an art store, but I am not totally sure on that.

Joe, why are you so clever? :)

  • Italian Stallion

XToBeWithYoux: I haven't the slightest clue, but if I were to guess it would be because of my education. As much as I hated school when I was younger, I was a hard worker and studier, I wanted to learn, I just didn't want to be there in person...haha nice logic huh?

Anyways, I've learned a lot though out the years, and I thank my parents and teachers for pushing me to be better and all I could really be.

So that is my answer to that...EDUCATION...STAY IN SCHOOL IT IS WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN!!!

I start college soon and I'm uber nervous. What exactly is it like? Is it hard?? ( I've got 6 yrs ;/ )

  • Italian Stallion

Simplyfrigid: There is nothing to be nervous about, it's school at a different level that's all. You went from elementry to middle and middle to high school, and I'm guessing you were just as nervous going to high school from middle school. But it wasn't that bad, was it? Nope, just another school with more teachers...it's the same at college except you don't have periods, your classes are a lot more spread out, you may have a morning class, a night class, and maybe even no class depending on how you set your schedual, there really isn't anything to be nervous about, you'll do just fine.

As for toughness, it all depends on your proffessors that you get, some are tough, some are easy. And of course it also depends on the college you go to, it may be Yale or it may be just some state college, my bet is Yale would be harder.

  • LittleMissReality

    Joe,
So today at school, we had some graduates talk to us seniors during our theologoy class about what college is like and what to expect. Well my ex ended up having to talk to my class. It was well awkward at first and everytime he talked he seemed to stare right at me. I'm sitting in the back of the room and there he is staring at me, but only when he was talking. I'm not imagining it they guy in front of me turned around and realized it was me behind him, and then I was like did you not seem him staring he's like yea, makes perfect sense now. And I told my friend and she's like yea I saw him do the same thing.
If he doesn't like me, why would he stare at me? I don't understand him.

  • Italian Stallion

LittleMissReality: Okay, I am assuming that he is the one who broke up the relationship based on your story. Him staring at you the whole time can mean many different things, however; here are a few reasons I believe he may have been staring at you:

    1) He doesn't know why he ever broke up with you and is feeling the urge to try and make it work or just the fact that he is thinking to himself, "man I really screwed it up, she is beautiful, what was I thinking?"

    2) He indeed doesn't like you and is staring at you while he thinks to himself, profoun things about you. Example: "what a B**** she never was a good girlfriend" etc.

    3) I don't know what your plans are or anything or if you wanted to go to college, but perhaps he is trying to send you some kind of messege like, "college sucks" or "goto college it's the best thing you could ever do" etc.

And I'm sure there could be many more reason to why he would be staring at you, but at the moment I can't come to think of anymore.

    Why do I date losers?
wait... don't answer that, you can't.
    sorry. lol

    so...
What is the most random food name you've ever heard?

Why does China make Proud To Be An American stuff?
    (honestly, gosh...)

Why are politics and religion two things never to bring up but are always brought up?

Why do boys that get heartbroken mostly turn to heartbreaking?

How do people make money off of suckish cartoons and stuff for little kids?
    (cause it's NEVER really educational..)

  • LittleMissReality

I agree w/ 1 but he knows I"m going to college and was talking to me abotu where I'm going. And I don't see why I'd be a B**** b/c I was really nice to him not to sound high on myself but I rarely got mad and if I did I apologized and he usually felt bad too

  • Teria

I have a new question. But, first I'd like to say I wasn't nervous about high school. I was excited. And, if I remember right I was excited about Junior high too, I don't remember that though.

I'm going into a pharmacy program. First 2 years at OSU, last 4 at Findlay OR Ohio Northern (haven't made up my mind yet). The first 2 years is pre-quistes. Do you have any clue what those are? Will I be doing direct pharmacy work or will I be doing like 2 more years of high school to further my education?

Another one: Recently a 13 year old girl 'randomly' stabbed a 14 year old boy. They're saying that she had no motive and he was just unlucky to be in front of her. They're not trialing her as an adult because she's so young but they are charging her with first degree murder and 2 cases of felinious assult. If found guilty then she will be put in juvy until she's 21 and re-trialed after that to see if she's stable enough to be 'let free'. Do you think they should trial her as an adult or a minor? (It's an on going topic in our town) And, what do you think makes THIRTEEN YEAR OLD's randomly stab someone?

I somehow think that MAYBE she's not telling the truth and she figures that whatever he did to her he's been paid back now so she'll just keep to herself. Of course this might not be the case and she may be mentally ill or something. But, the girl was raised in a loving family with decent parents, or so I've heard. (Don't hold me to it, but the town she comes from has decent people and the school is a decent school - so I'd believe it completely). Do you think maybe she has a secret motive? Or that she's mentally ill or something?

  • Italian Stallion

Rainbows of Hope: I would have to say, "bangers and mash" another one would be, "spam" or how about, "head chesse" oh there are so many odd/random food names.

Very odd, I know, but it is because we out source a lot of our products here in the US, and China happens to be one of them in which costs us less to produce mass quanity of products.

Never really thought about that, but it's true, Religion and Politics are two things that is known not to bring up in convo but usually is. I guess it's just one of those things we just can't avoid...

Hrmm, never really heard that one, so I'm not really sure. But if I were to guess I'd have to say that they want the opposite sex to know what it feels like..I don't know.

haha, because the American Public doesn't care about education, they care about entertainment...what will we watch tonight, what game will we play, what can I do on my computer, etc. It's all entertainment, take those away and what would we have? Chaos from the American Public...the only reason we have schools is to educate ourselfs for the work enviornment etc. THAT'S MOST LIKELY WHY...

  • Italian Stallion

Simplyfrigid: I think you mean, "prerequisites" instead of, "pre-quistes" but then again I may be wrong, basically all it means is there are certain classes that you are required to take before you can take a different class.

More or less you will be doing more educational practice which would be more learning from text and lectures. Until you really get to your 3rd and 4th year you most likely won't be doing a whole lot of hands on activites, however; I may be wrong since I am not in that feild of practice.

She is 13 so no I don't think she should be trialed as an adult, however; I feel once she turns of legal age to be trialed as an adult I think she should have to goto court and go through a whole different trial once of age. Not too sure on her motive but it can be a series of anything that triggers such events: divorce at home, breaking up with a boyfriend, a fight with family members, loss of someone extremely close, rebelous teenage years, etc.

Indeed it is possible that she maybe mentally ill, however; more than anything I would say she had a motive but didn't want to say due to the fear of the consequences.

Oh yeah, something my friend was wondering.
What's the difference between a theory and a theorem? Is it just that a theorem is a proven theory?

  • Italian Stallion

Nihilistic: A Theory is used in science whereas a Theorem is used in Mathamatics.

A Theorem is a mathematical statement that is expected to be true.

A Theory is a statement or set of statements that attempts to explain observed phenomena.

I am quitting my current job to go work elsewhere. My mother wants me to write a letter as my two weeks notice to my current employer, and I agree with that....but what should I write for it? How should I give it to my manager without feeling akward?

  • Italian Stallion

Krista: When giving a two weeks notice about quiting you want to do it as subtle as possible, you'll never know when you'll need a letter of reference.

Try to write something positive even though such a letter seems to be somewhat cold in tone naturally. Just a simple statement that you are officially "putting in your two weeks", as they say, see if you can find something to say that is positive about the company and your experience there. It softens the blow a lot better to leave on a positive note, not to mention the fact that it might make people feel good.

Just as importantly though, depending on how long you've been with the company, you might want to state the reasons for your resignation.

Remember, dress apropriately and be sure to hand this letter directly to your boss while stating you are putting in your "two weeks notice"

Sluvious: Honestly I think his stimulus package is a bunch of BS. Lets see, why don't we borrow over $800 Billion dollars and spend it to revive the economy. Then lets use that money to put more lights up in Las Vegus and build a enormous waterpark...hrmm were does that come into play? What benefits will a waterpark bring the economy? Or even better...more lighting in Vegus?

Seriously, why borrow all that money for such nonsence? Yes, I said borrow...we don't have that money, we are borrowing it, that will be a huge deficit and create even bigger problems in the long run. How in the hell are we going to pay that back in future? It will be a problem.

Not once does the plan mention anything about individual home owners. What about those people? Why doesn't he start by reducing the taxes and give every home owner a check in the mail for say 200 or 300 hundred dollars from the reduced payments? At the current moment these people are in the gutter, all this money ($800 billion + dollars) is going towards the states, building, and companies, not one penny is going to home owners...hrmmmm interesting.

Create more jobs? For whom? The middle class, the average people whom are strugling? Nope, for the below average people, whom are here illegally.

And what is this about traveling to different states doing speaches? Does he think he is still in Campain Mode? I mean seriously when have you ever seen a President do a speach on how badly he needs you to vote for the package.

So far, not so good. I don't like the looks of this, and hopefully it doesn't get passed, this stimulus package needs a major overhaul.

  • Italian Stallion

Michael: Your best bet would be to talk to the teacher. Maybe everyone is struggling and the final grade will be curved. Most schools will require the approval from the teacher to drop the class this late in the term, like you've already stated.

They can let you know your chances of passing and can give you some help. As far as your academic records, a dropped class will show up, but as long as its a rare occurance, whoever is evaluating your transcripts will see that you maintained satisfactory academic progress and they might even see it as an example that you know when to take something off of your plate instead of crashing and burning. Basically, go and talk to your teacher! They love helping!

If you feel it is too much and you've already talked with the teacher, then I would consider droping the class as I stated above, sometimes it's better to remove something then to let it crash and burn in the end result.

    Best of luck to you!!!

Joe, is it acceptable for someone to host a contest, then at the end choose only one winner (when runners up were promised) and say that they didn't like any of the other poems at all?

Is this acceptable, or am I just being sensitive?

  • Italian Stallion

Cayce: It's human nature to "fight" or give a good long debate on something that you don't agree with. When ones views are different from the opposing persons, then usually you will want to state your side or your thoughts. It is just normal. It's human nature to take your side over his or whomever you are talking with. Just natural instincts.

  • Italian Stallion

XToBeWithYoux: Personally I don't think it is right for someone to host a contest stating there will be these many winners and then just put forth one winner. It isn't ethical on their part. Nor do I find it to be acceptable, if someone says they are going to do something, then hell they better put forth unless they have a logical explanation for it, which in this case I don't find a plausable cause for that action.

  • Italian Stallion

Michael: This is a common question that many have pondered upon and have yet to come-up with a legit answer. A majority of people fall in and out of love not even knowing the true meaning of it. People use that word more often then they should, perhaps if people knew what "love" meant then perhaps we wouldn't be in these types of situations.

Personally and this is just my theroy on this question, I think that people tend to fall for people they can't have simply because it makes it interesting, it gives the person something to fight for, to strive for, to look foward to, gives them a challenge, etc.

How should I tell my parents I think I have depression?
I have low confidence so idk.
    Please and Thank You.

  • Italian Stallion

Be My Escape: I know this is hard for you and I am glad you are at the point of thinking about how to tell your parents. They need to know that you are depressed. You can have someone else tell them but it is better that you tell them yourself. Be very straight with them and tell them the truth about what you have been experiencing. Be honest with them. There is no other better way to tell them. If you are not comfortable about telling them face-to-face, write them a detailed letter about your depression. I do not know your parents but I cannot imagine they would be mad at you for telling them the truth about how you feel. I am sure they would be more upset if they knew that you were suffering and you did not tell them about it so they could help you. My advice is to be honest and straight forward, tell them about the depression you have been experiencing the past few months and that you would like to get help. If you are worried and not sure you can do this alone, talk to the school counselor and maybe he or she can talk to your parents for you or with you. Try writing a letter if that is easier. I hope I have given you a few ideas on how to go about telling your parents. Which way you decide will be up to you- just be sure to find some way to tell your parents.
