    If You Wanted A Song Written About You, All You Had To Do Was Ask by Mayday Parade
    The line I used is in quotation marks, clever, huh?

    Title: I Once Spilt My Milk on Purpose

    Scars on chest, sand in lungs,
    Burning toes and liquid eyes.
    Fighting against the wind,
    For a single breath to stay.

    Awkward as the first kiss,
    Destructive as the last,
    Your words are the rhythm
    That my feet and lungs follow.

    This could be the direction
    Or the change I despise.
    Sunglasses on, struck a pose,
    Felt the liquid eyes seep.

    I don't know what I love more:
    You versus the idea of you,
    Former hidden within this form,
    Latter too late to think of.

    Sometimes I fear I've lost;
    Eye contact of souls disappeared,
    Looking across tops of buildings,
    Trying to find substance in words.

    Funny, how 2am whispers wake me,
    As though you're sending a message,
    "I don't need you or anybody else",
    Locked that door. Buried the key.

    Stumbled my way home through diamonds,
    Eyes turned from liquid to stone.
    Ripped apart my chest to briefly check,
    Nearly choked from ashes gushing out.

    Yay. I've finished my poem.

    Title: "My Heart Tells Me To Go"

    I keep myself awake all night
    wondering why you lie to me.
    My heart aches for the truth
    but a liar is what you'll always be.

    I'm starin' at this candle burnin' out
    it tells the story of our relationship.
    Melting away, turning into a puddle
    my heart skips, I need to get a grip.

    I should know better by now
    that you're not who I thought.
    My head won't let me believe
    what I know I've been taught.

    I deserve someone who cares
    but you've got a grasp on me.
    Why did I have to get so deep
    when the truth I could always see?

    Waiting for you to follow through
    is getting older every single day.
    Leaving is a pleasant thought
    but your eyes force me to stay.

    Okay, I've decided the due date will be January 3rd. Sorry it's so far away, but with the holidays rapidly approaching I'm afraid I won't have time to judge this until after they're over. Good luck, and please keep posting. :)

    Did it!

    It came up with 'The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You' by My Chemical Romance. I was like 'eeeeek' at first, but then I got into it! I know I didn't have to use the title but I don't know the song too well, and I think the title was interesting enough ^.^

    This is a cool idea by the way!

    Here it is:

    ~~~
    The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You
    Fame.
    Fortune.
    Everyone's dreams come true.
    Isn't it?
    The sound of forgotten voices,
    The sight of faded photographs,
    Flutter freely through your mind,
    Reminding you of who you were.
    The smell of leather handbags,
    The sounds of tinkling diamonds,
    Linger in the cool, crisp air,
    Reminiscing over memories of glory.
    The feel of the glowing tarmac,
    The taste of petroleum,
    Meet together in unison,
    Planning journeys of glamour.
    The taste of the thick air,
    The smell of the dancers' sweat,
    Rendez-vous in your mouth,
    Yearning for champagne.
    The smell of another line,
    The taste of another tablet,
    Mix with one another in your body,
    Making you feel alive again.
    Hope everyone's holidays were great and that you all had a happy New Year. I said I wanted to have the due date on January 3rd, but I'm not judging a contest that only has four poems entered, so I guess I'll just let this keep going until whenever I feel like stopping. For the people reserved, just please get your poems in. Anyone else who would like you join, you still may. :)
    Sorry mine is 'late' I was sick and hadn't seen the original enterance date.
    SONG: I feel bad
    ARTIST: Rascal Flatts.
    I can stand here strong, cold as stone
    I can stand here strong, cold as stone
    You can stand there blank, all alone
    We'll fight through the night, tears will fall
    Our house can divide as our pride stands tall.
    Fascination in your own world, glamour in mine
    Artistry ruined by grade A, that's what they call fine.
    Ugliness shall remain the virtue, value the vice
    I can stand here strong since justice isn't nice
    Purity blames the rickety old hinges falling apart,
    as decency scolds the ruined, broken heart.
    The quality of what we've become leaves us alone
    as we fight through the night, cold as stone.
    You've rocked my world, I've rocked yours
    There's more that meets the eye than rotten apple cores.
    You'll leave here tomorrow with tears in our eyes,
    I promise not to stop you, I forbid any lies.
    I can stand here strong, cold as stone
    You can stand there blank, all alone
    Nothing's ever changed, we're worn to the bone,
    and apologetic kindness won't bring you home
    And She Can
    (Slow Cheetah by Red Hot Chili Peppers)
    To far by Chance for minds eyes to have simply wandered
    They speak in a sneak of whispers
    of all that they '"she" will have squandered
    Micro machines invading
    A much larger territory
    Gone quick grace; languish;
    Slow cheetah so euphoric no matter what they say
    Stuttering on tripped up words, my wish
    God's grace
    None will replace so soft so play
    It loud and tune it out
    Karmas school of doubt
    Embetterment in the bitter water small fish
    Silver sliver & gone in a flash
    Xx I'll see your heart (and raise you mine) xX
    In this game of love, it's every man for himself
    You have to play your cards right
    (Don't rush)
    Play them wisely
    To have a chance of winning
    The queen of hearts
    (And mine)
    No card game has ever been this hard
    (But it's worth it)
    One false move and you're out
    Cheaters lose everything
    (No second chances)
    You have to stay focused, keep your hand steady
    Be prepared to show all your cards
    (Show me)
    Be prepared to go all in
    I'll see your heart and raise you mine
    (The deciding move... do you accept?)
    I'll see your heart and raise you mine
    I'm thinking I'm going to set the due date for the 27th of January, since there are only two people who haven't submitted their poems yet. I should have this contest completely judged on that day, and if not it should be done on the 28th.
    Sorry for the delay, but I've finally finished judging. It was difficult, but I've made my decision. The winner is simplyfrigid. Your prize I have decided is to be whatever you like. There is no limit. Just PM it to me when you've figured it out. :)
    And good job to all the other contestants! I've really enjoyed hosting this contest.
