The Last Beat Shutters Within

What tears are those that fall so ungratefully from your face?
You trip, you fall, you run away - such haste!
"Save me," you whipser selfconciously - but it's different this time;
The trickery we share, allowing mistakes, could only catch us if we surrender.

No one's ever said such beautiful words to me;
"You're beautiful, even in the dark," words, full of such misery
As the tips of our tongues play beats we can't understand;
It's just the trickery around us, pushing us to fall.

Oh, love's just a simple game where no one can win;
We're setting ourselves up for failure with our uncanny sins.
And in this event, I'll be waiting for the reassurance of your touch again;
Such a beautiful song, must there be an end? Will you be the last beat, that shutters within?

Together, I think we were all failures once, believing in such a passion,
The music plays and I'm still here, I'm in still in love with this uncanny fashion.
Yet we were so ignorant once believe we could ever fall in love;
It was just the musical beats of a hearts that took us to such a height.

Oh, love's just a simple game where no one can win;
We're setting ourselves up for failure with our uncanny sins.

Soul-searching never felt this right

Amongst all odds
I've come to find a love close to my heart
A love unlike any other I've seen
A love in which makes me ponder and prod

Amongst all odds
I've found "the one" I want to love and never part
I just wish I could've at least foreseen
This love within my heart from the very start

Amongst all odds
I'd like to move forward with my love and convene
Hold each other close and never depart
Let me be your king and you my love can be queen

Amongst all odds
I've found the one for my passionate heart
The one in which I don't want to demean
I just want to be absolutely serene

Falling Off of Cliffs is Just as Dangerous as Falling INTO Love

My hands feel cold
I miss that hug
A place of warmth
Where I feel snug

My ears hear you
Say you wish to fall in love
But falling is painful
Enjoy the view from above

My feet are standing
So close to the edge
Avoiding many slips
It's harder not to fall
When a smile curls on your lips

My hands feel warmer
My ears hear my heart pound
My feet have stumbled
I fall off solid ground

Trying to spread fake wings
But I'm feeling the rush
That this falling brings

English teachers should be proud
For this metaphor I use
I'm not falling off a cliff

Words that seem so clever

That seem to scream forever

Though I've seen this face before
It somehow seems so new
Little thing I never noticed

stanzas sketched across ruby red canvas
with beauty of butterflies, somewhat arcane,
enwrapped with glowing, pearly sensations.

Passionate kisses form fragrant addiction,
morphing hesitation into liquid lullabies
crowned with whispers of elegant fiction;
hand in hand, pupils fill with hues of fire.

Entranced with anticipations oh, so sweet,
laced promises flow through the veins;
florescent emotions rhyme with words on repeat
completing soul's concealed puzzle.

Ardent gazes interlock above the candlelight,
thoughts frolic with molten temptations
embracing celestial elixir of delight,
spilling spectrum of blazing affection.

Saved By A Stranger

I ran toward the ship's edge, out of breath, gasping for air,
Just wanting to escape this terror, this nightmare I had to live in.
Wasting no minutes, I swung my feet over the top railing,
And turned around to see before me the depths of the ocean blue.

A cold hand was placed on my shaking shoulder,
"Stop! Don't move. I'll get you down from there."
It was a young man's voice, containing fright,
My feet froze to the rail, and my heart raced faster.

"You're insane, don't step any closer, or I'll....I'll jump!"
I shouted out, my voice uncertain and unsteady.
He stayed firmly where he was, his hand still outstretched.
"Miss, I'm not the one about to jump off of this ship."

A silence followed, the waves swiftly splashing about,
"Don't make me have to come after you," he playfully spoke.
After those words, I surely stated, "you wouldn't!"
"You'd be surprised at what a good swimmer I am."

This man, this stranger, would want to save my life?
After he thought for a moment, his voice got serious.
"Listen ma'am, the water down there is ice cold, you'll freeze,
Wouldn't want a pretty lady like yourself to suffer that way."

I immediately blushed lightly, secretly flattered by his presence,
Shivering suddenly from a gust of wind, I remembered his words.
Reality struck me like a bolt of lightning as my eyes closed,
A whisper crept up behind me, "take my hand, you won't regret it."

Without thinking twice, I automatically grasped his soft hand,
"That's it, careful now, I've got you, I won't let you fall."
His comforting words seemed to heal the center of my heart,
As thoughts of earlier seemed to fade away, new thoughts emerged.

Once I was over the railing and standing on the main deck,
I glanced deeply into his creamy light blue eyes.
Entranced by their truth, as if he was hypnatizing me,
All other worries were forgotten, as time stopped for a second.

"Now that you're safely down, I can properly introduce myself,
My name is Jack, Jack Dawson. A pleasure to meet you miss."
His face was alive with expression, though trying to hide laughter,
"How do you do Mr. Dawson? My name is Rose DeWitt Bukater."

A little chuckle escaped from Jack's lips, eyes twinkling all about,
Clearing his throat he replied, "won't have to keep calling you miss."
I laughed quietly to myself, and felt this passion crawl out of me,
And the next moment, Mr. Dawson and I were strolling along the deck.

Based on the movie "Titanic" with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Taking Over Me; I Gladly Surrender

Coy eyes intrigue innocent souls,
Hopeful heart seized by his love.
Sweet lips solely long for his touch,
Smile mesmerizes; heart softens.
Forlorn soul desires love beyond,
Fingertips optimistically realize,
His hand completes the warmth.

Catch sight of you in the distance,
Deceived; an illusion of the mind.
Stars sparkling in the endless sky,
Fill me with memories of your eyes.
The color reflect the radiant sun,
Fading love song heard in an abyss,
Tickling the mind with daydreams.

Passions incinerate my ideal reality,
Glimpse of a delicate daisy swaying,
Reminisces of a gentle smile appear.
Immense amount of love escalating,
About to bubble over and break out.
Pure eyes first locked four years ago,
Taking over me; I gladly surrender.

Antique sunsets of your sincere heart;
hold depth alike moonlights glow.
Alas dusk decends within the eyes,
Descending
Declining
Falling.
Into purple emperors of you.

When stars diverged into midnight,
You first held unity in palm.
I watch stellar dance upon lips,
Never blinking a lash, incase;
you disappeared into the light.
A monarch of your beauty.

That moment I came to realize;
darkness holds beauty of its own.
Slowly becoming transparent,
I caught pink butterflies.
Tumbling
Turning
Twisting.
Falling in love with you.

Finding love in this lonely world
Was like finding a needle in a haystack
Discovering a diamond in the sand
Nailing jelly to a tree
Impossible...
Or so it seemed...

Something that just wasn't worth the effort
The countless disappointments
The tears...
The hurt...
Weighing down the fragile heart
When something that felt like love
Turned out to be a sham
A red herring

Love was something that was only found in the movies
In books
In the imagination...
A sort of pipe dream

But even pipe dreams can become a reality
Love can find you when you least expect it
When you cease looking
It springs out of nowhere
Like a long lost friend
A best friend
A lover

You find that needle in the haystack
And when you do, you realise it's something special
The real thing
Something worth waiting for

I found my diamond in the sand
And it's the most valuable diamond i could ever hope to own

Butterflies And Hurricanes

The little creatures,
Dainty in their nature,
Flicked the walls of my stomach.
Softly, at first, but then more rapidly,
Churning the remnants of my last meal.

Convict meeting the awaiting noose;
I approached you with caution.
The butterflies quickened, sensing your presence.
The adrenaline pounded through my veins with urgency.
Shivering, softly, as sweat cooled my back,
I willed myself to continue.

My eyes fluttered over your body,
Desperate to absorb every detail,
To thrive and feed on later.
Rearranging my features into a wide smile,
I scrutinised your every reaction.
Waiting.

Waiting for the impending doom.
The smallest chink in the silver lining.
Waiting for you to realise,
Realise that I don't deserve you.

But there you stood.
The creatures in my abdomen
Knocked against the walls,
Demanding to be free of their cage.

I had dreamed of this moment,
Fantasising over glorious unions,
But as you took my hand,
The butterflies began their escape.

Not up my throat,
Filling my chest with indescribable feelings.
Not out of my mouth,
Fluttering inches from your wonder.
No, they carelessly charged through my veins,
My nerves, my bones, every part of my anatomy.
Growing in size, growing in strength
As I took your face in my hands.

In that unmeasurable moment,
The world was our own.
Time stood still for us.
The world stopped spinning for us.
Then, now and forever,
Our feelings shall never be caged again.
