    I agree with what alan said. You have to be really willing and so does you partner. I have been in a long distance relationship before. We are no longer "dating" but we are really good friends. And we actually still talk. (It's been 4 years) If your young its a little more difficult because your still at the age where you want to date and try different people. And probably won't be ready to settle down. You have to have a lot of patience and trust. You have to be understanding and really know your partner. Long distance relationships can be the best. Because your getting to know the person emotionally. And the wait makes seeing one another that much better. The only downside is the physical part. They won't always be able to hold you. Its hard no doubt and there will be times when you get frustrated but its well worth the wait. At least I think so.
