Someone should tell you what you did to me
We went everywhere I always felt free
Never did we spend a weekend with nothing to do
The days alone were the very few

Someone should tell you that you ruined me
Climbed mountains and rocks and that one favorite tree
Did homework and projects together after school
In the summer time we hung out in your pool

Someone should tell you how sad you made me
Friends forever and always we would agree
Never letting anyone get in the way of us
We never fought or ever made a fuss

Someone should tell you we aren't friends anymore
We never hang out like before
You broke me apart and left me for dead
Threw me away like a stale piece of bread

Someone should tell you how to be a friend and not just pretend

The voice inside my head
has vanished long ago.
It ran away fast
once I dealt the final blow

Though consciences these days,
are useless little things.
Forgotten in your mind,
like a worthless piece of string.

A futile helping hand
for all those times you doubt.
Life's worthless guide
that will stick its neck out.

So I purposely got rid of
the one thing that I need,
just to be able to
properly succeed?

That's what life's about right?
"Always follow the crowd."?
"You can't be in the spotlight,
you cannot be to loud."

If that's what life's about
I no longer agree
because right now your normal
sounds awful crazy to me

You Know I'm No Good

Hanging stilettos on the door as I pass,
Reaching for yet another glass,
Curtains still drawn at half twelve.
Again, under the covers we delve.

Blurry memories of boozy nights,
Spitting in faces and beer fueled fights.
Tears streaming down my face,
I must have looked a disgrace.

Boyfriends come and boyfriends go,
Time flies by, time goes slow.
Bone by bone, I am exposed,
Growing smaller, unopposed.

You're the one that shouts a lot,
Ignorance yearns for another shot.
Riding a wave of ecstatic wonder
For my drink; he doesn't thunder.

Why, oh why, do you give a damn?
You're just another two-faced man.
Shouting and moaning all the time,
I'm begging for another dime.

You're trying to find me some advice,
I'm pouring more whiskey over the ice.
You say to me "You're misunderstood",
I explain "You know I'm no good".

Further down the tangled hill, lies broken bodies dead inside
Tortured hearts slain within, solemn prisoners, bewildered cries
Dressed to kill, she walks the land figuring the life of a man
Minds can't confide in the eyes of devils, twisted with a plan
Milking off the only cause and effected by the notions
Following the soul of souls, troubled in magnetic motions
Behold the beholder of many mouths, denouncing oceans
For haven't you enough? The ruler of infancy has died!
Stronger than the middle class, she often sped away and ran
But has not the classic cliche had enough with promotions?

The CinqTroisDecaLa Rhyme, a form created by Laura Lamarca, consisting of one 10-lined stanza.
The rhyme scheme for this form is AABBCCCABC and a syllable count of each line is 15.

Reserve please:

"I hate myself for losing you"

Broken glass falls from above,
Climaxing the weekly fight,
Husband and wife; feuding again,
No romance to be had tonight.

Without even knowing the reason,
The two go round and round,
Screaming, yelling, throwing pictures,
As the glass falls to the ground.

Trying to make it work,
Not wanting to realize their worst fears,
He speaks the words of separation,
Standing in a pile of tiny glass tears.

When you have given everything you have,
But more effort is required,
Knowing this cannot survive any longer,
Tired of always being tired.

The broken glass that surrounds the room,
Is a symbol of our marriage,
Us without love; you without me,
Is a white horse without a carriage.

What was is gone and is no more
We must part our separate ways,
I will always love your soft spoken voice,
That still sets my heart ablaze.

As you move on to find another,
I will remain unchanged,
Like the shattered glass on the bedroom floor,
My heart is now deranged.

You were my reason for living,
Even if I was your worst mistake,
I hate myself for losing you,
But your love was not mine to take.
