This valentines day is the first time i will not have been single <3 i am so excited. if my boyfriend can find a way to get up here [he lives 2 hours away], i'm sure we'll do something. i already told him i didnt want anything but to be with him, because we're saving our money to buy him a car so he can come here more often...but he might be meeting my dad finally on vday.

also, the 13th is our 5 months together, so thats just a lovey weekend to begin with.

and i'm going to have to give gma support [i live with her] because my grandpa died on vday 3 years ago on that day. its hard to get through it. i'm glad i'll be with eric so i wont think about that so much...

We don't do Valentines Day, I will be celebrating my sister's birthday however since it is the day before lol We do things all throughout the year, if he gets me flowers or something, great, but it's more special when you shoot from the hip and do it because you want to, not just because people and companies designated a day.

Vday is just another day really. As Marcus says, every day is valentines day for us, we don't need an excuse to show we love each other

So we'll just spend the day on guitar hero world tour, haha. Me and guitar and him on drums and maybe a few bottles of wine.

    A normal saturday =P

I was just dumped as of last week, out of a 2 year relationship. (he wanted to see other people). V-day is the day before my birthday...so both are going to be painful for me. My 2 best girls are taking me out that weekend....Not sure where.

V-Day is a hallmark holiday, just for cards and candy

^ I agree, but I still like the romance of it.

I will be on a cadet course, bored out of my brains, but I'd like to think that someone was thinking of me

    *sigh*

Yes, it's a commerical holiday but I don't care. I just think it's fun and I just like planning things and surprising my boyfriend. I don't know what my plans are yet but just being with my boyfriend is enough.

Hopefully get to visit the boyfriend for a couple hours. We live seven hours away so we will try to meet half way. I want to see if he can outdue what he did last year!

Valentine's Day is a commercial holiday in which the media has deemed of as celebratory. It's the "perfect" Valentine's when you smother your significant other with, the usual, materialistic gift of diamonds, chocolates &/or cards... Or at least that's what it has come down to now. I wish people could see it's true meaning.

To me it is just another day that I get to spend time with the ones I love, to express my love for them & have fun. Watch a favorite movie together, make them supper or do it together, write them a letter or poem, go for a walk, etc. etc. For Josh & I every day is Valentine's Day. ;)

For St. Valentine's Day I'm in a theatrical production of which our group volunteered to perform for The Prairie Women on Snowmobiles; a group snowmobiling across the country to raise money for breast cancer research & more. With all the tickets we sold for the event we will donate them to the cause as charity. I am buying Josh a ticket, so I guess that's his Valentine's. :)

"...there are many forms of cancer, but this one seems to hold so much significance, how strong these women are especially those who have had a breast removed due to the cancer. Remember before pasturized milk and similac this was what nurtured the world. It is and always has been a noble cause..."

^ That's how I see it too; it's how I see my grandmother. She's a breast cancer survivor too.

Haha, nice suit. You look like the Energizer bunny.

Well this V-day... since me and my twin both are single. we both have decided that we will be each others "honeys". we will buy each other flowers, candy. etc. the whole thing. that way we will not be left out. so I am hanging out with my twin.

Well, my boyfriend will be in therapy on Valentines day. A closed session, so he will be completely out of contact.
I gave him his gift early though, just a photo of him and I together in a picture frame.

I am single this year, but my ex fiance and i will be going out to dinner, and probably a movie. We have needed to talk for some time, and it just happened that the weekend we'd get the chance to is Valentines. He lives to hours away from me, so we dont see eachother often any more (he used to come up every weekend) Our plans had been to go for a walk and talk, maybe run through a fast food place. But as it has gotten pretty cold again here in Indiana, (and some help from the fact that i realized it was Valentines) We decided to have a nice dinner, and see a movie. followed by a night to our selves in his hotel room, talking about our relationship, and where we are going to go from here. :)

not the most romantic, but i like it. and think its suiting for our situation.

In case some of you were interested, our performance on St. Valentine's Day went over extremely well. Over 300 people attended &, since The Prairie Women on Snowmobiles has been ongoing since 2002, we have raised over 1 million dollars for breast cancer research & more. The event started at 5:30pm & didn't end, or at least start to die down, until between 4 and 6am. :)

That's a great cause Hopeless Romantic, I'm very happy that it turned out so well :) Congrats

And you make a very adorable pink bunny lol

Hope everyone had a fantastic Valentines Day :) Around here was very quiet, my fiance couldn't spend it physically here with me so we spent the day talking online, he wrote me a very sweet song and then spent almost a week having his cousin help him write music to put it to then he sang it for me and recorded it :) Made a video of it for me, it was the sweetest thing, I was crying by the end of the song hehehe So over all, even though he wasn't able to actually be here it was the best one I've had thus far :) Just had to share that lol

Yeah, my Valentine's Day was rather simple (besides from the performance that is). After the performance I sat on my boyfriends lap with the rest of our family and, while he wasn't looking, smeared my make-up all over his face. Now, for our performance I was a mime, so you could imagine the mess I'd made of him. On our way home, while he bent over to pick something up I decided to push him into the bank. He decided to pick me up & throw me into it! To warm up we decided to cuddle on the couch & watch a movie. ;)

He gave me three roses; a red one for how much he loves me, an orange for how much he wants to be with me & a yellow for how happy I make him. I'd MADE him "love coupons"; good for one massage, good for one home-made dinner, etc., etc. :D

I know that some people can't really enjoy themselves unless they do something extravagant... But I have always appreciated the simple things in life. :)
