Sad poem contest

Okay the rules are simple

1. all poems have to be sad
2. must ryhme
3. have to be at least 8 lines long
4. only two poems per person
5. must be in by March 5th
6. They can be old poems

Forgotten

Feelings of pain inside her so strong,
She thinks it's okay but it's so wrong,
She has been so disturbed all along,
Heart cries out for an ear to its song.

Her next decision concludes her fate,
Darkness clouding love, that is now hate,
She will soon die going at this rate,
The Devil has not got time to wait.

Voices in her head tell her she must,
Her mind and body give in with trust,
To this darkness, her eyes must adjust,
Her life forgotten, her body dust.

Broken [Wine-colored Heart]

Fifty-eight pieces lying on the ground,
and your whiskey-drunk eyes burn.
The sidewalk chalk glitters in the sun,
but the ladybugs won't ever return.

Count to ten, and don't you dare peek,
because Satan wants your hand,
but since no one else wants to hold it,
maybe, just maybe, I could understand.

His breath still stings your deaf ears,
and those teeth are still at your throat,
but, darling, darling, he's really gone,
the proof is there in that wrinkled note.

Give it up, don't you know it's over?
He's never again going to let you shine.
Fifty-eight pieces lying on the ground.
Fifty-eight pieces colored with wine.

If by-chance destiny betray,
forking track,shoving us apart,
Unaware of imploring heart.

Watching our dreams fleeting away,
would you effortlessly consent?
subsisting with augmenting vent.

Will twilight appear shadowed gray?
Immersed in yesters memory,
xeroxed in psychic gallery.

If mocking winds begin to sway
erasing moments lost in time,
will I become, forgotton chime?

Auctioning love in luck's soiree,
if our promises, Fate decline,
Will our heart-strings remain entwined?

*Constanza

The Constanza, created by Connie Marcum Wong, consists of five or more 3-line stanzas. Each
line has a set meter of eight syllables. The first lines of all the stanzas can be read successively as an independent poem, with the rest of the poem weaved in to express a deeper meaning. The first lines convey a theme written in monorhyme, while the second and third lines of each stanza rhyme together.

Rhyme scheme: a/b/b, a/c/c, a/d/d, a/e/e, a/f/f.........etc.

For just a moment
an inkling of a memory
crossed my mind
A sadness beaconed
as soul took hold
a thought the heart declined

A passing shadow
lingered there unseen
twisting in the brain
But then it went
where memories go
when only pain remains

Like shoes grown tight
upon the foot
buried deep within a box
The mind is binding
the heart with spurs
to fight those torrid thoughts

Now holding tightly
to all the hurting
in pain relives the thought
A moment passing
through your soul
is one that time forgot

Cuts, burns and scars
Remind me of my sorrow
Wishing it would all just end
Wishing to start fresh tomorrow.

Unable to understand
Why I do the things I do
Wanting to be happy again
Wanting to start new.

Happiness is not a word
It's more of an illusion to me
No matter how hard try
It stays just out of my reach.

Pain fills my heart
Consuming my will to live
I have nothing more to offer,
My life is the last thing to give.

Making it though the day
Is not as easy as you would think
I barely seem to function,
I cannot sleep, eat or drink.

So when the pain is too much
And I am pushed to the extreme
This razor helps me find myself again
This razor help blow off some steam.

As the metal glides across my flesh
The rush makes me feel alive
Blood spots rise to the surface
As my soul starts to revive.

Inch after inch; cut after cut
Emotional pain escapes from the gash
What once was trapped, now escapes
From a self inflicted slash.

Remembering not to cut too deep
Trying not to cause a panic
Wondering why I feel so much joy
In a ritual so satanic.

So many new cuts to hide
Is this nights barbaric ending
I must leave you now; goodnight my friends
My wounds need much tending.

Lost in a desperate strange world
That scares me to death
Lost in a hungry crowd
Soon I will loose my breath

Lost in life from day to day
I stray alone in a place unknown
Can't find the right way
I live by myself, all by my own

Lost in my own thoughts
Which I shouldn't do
Lost in battles I've fought
I need someone, I can't get through

Lost to comfort and all kind words
I can't find those who really care
Lost in advice for it isn't heard
All those people who's always there

Lost by myself, I need a break
Lost in a place I don't know well
Lost in wonder, which way to take?
"Are you lost?" there's no one to tell

Lost in mind, lost in soul
Lost memories, they're just a hole
Lost my family, lost my mate
Gone now, yet I'm full of hate

Lost in a wide world, cant find my way
Lost in faith, don't know what to believe

There's still a lot in life I need to achieve.

Written Words

You speak to me of beauties
that lie beyond our seas.
Scream about your faulty,
yet rational insecurities.

Forever I have dreamt
of the life made out for me.
For the one that I am living
is less than I could be.

I hear the silence linger
and wish that it would end.
No courage has come forth
from my might warrior friend.

I've fought my battles standing
upon rocks that I have built.
And, promised many others
that written words shall show no guilt.

My failure covers yours,
marking many boundaries.
For I've written with my tears,
all possible insecurities.

I'm just want to say that evryoone did an absolutly fabulous job! it was so hard picking winners but i finally have.

Here is tears

Tears fall faster and faster. I look up and I feel so small.
I've put my friends and family to shame and your to blame.
I just lay there and say "why me." The rain hits me like acid. I did this all just beauces you called me fat and acted like a rat. I did it so you would think I'm thin but all you wanted was skin.
Tears fall faster and faster. A ray of light caome out of the sky, then I start to fly, There's a book and I take a look. There's a list of names and to my dismay james your on there. I cry and cry and soon you will died. Tears fall faster and faster. There is no were to run and hide.
