What do I do?

So back and January a guy i've known for a while started texting me because we hadn't talked in a while. Well he kinda started to like each other but his feelings changed. We both wanted to enjoy our summers because we would both be going off to school in the fall (same school) and he said we had college together.. whatever that means? We still talk regulary and when i never texted him he would text because he relied on my text messages. Well he never texts anymore unless I text first and then a conversation rarely comes off that, it's usually about his roommate or what mine are going to be like. on many occassions I have told him I liked him still and he told me he doesn't know. I have never said anything about it since then but I'm worried. The last thing I want to do is ruin our friendship because I still need to have him there for next year so I have someone that knows me and I can relate to when things aren't going my way. I'm not saying I'm not going out to make new friends because I am.. but I have no friends going to that school except a friend whose going to a college 10 minutes away from me.

Could I please have some advice?

Play hard to get, act like a kik butt friend, be the most awesome ever and show him how hott and awesome!1 only send him a few flirty messages but ask a lot about how he is.
