What is considered first love?

Okay so what would all of you consider your first love? the first time you ever liked a guy? cuz i started liking guys in 3th grade but wouldnt consider that my first love lol
soo like what is the cutoff or whatever on someone being your first love or just being a crush?????

My first love....
Met him when I was a freshman in high school... talked for 2 years and then dated in out Junior yr... broke up and were on and off for 2 years after that... until now... I havent seen or talked to him in almost a year... Miss him dearly... but he was the one I couldnt forget, and couldnt get my mind off of him... John would have to be considered my 1st love...
Until now... I am engaged and found true love... He is awesom!! but John, was my 1st love...

But i think, it would be someone who always stays in your heart, whether there is communication or not... and the one you know you wont forget... at all...

Hmmm thats a hard one, I dont think iv'e had a first love yet......Hopefully soon tho ^^

It's hard to describe love, people have different definitions. I think if you have ever been in love or will ever be in love, you'll know.

Stuart was my first love we didnt date for long but he still takes my breath away everytime i see him. when i ran away from home he came to find me and we sat together just not saying anything by the lake. hes a good friend and i know i can always count on him. so maybe he isnt my first love love but maybe he is my first friendship love

Yeahh, I can safely say I haven't found true love yet.. Or I'd still be with them =] lol True love, is pretty much your soul mate, someone who you know you can spend your life with, and that you trust.

I agree with above. I believe i was in a type of "love," with my ex, i cared for him more than anyone I ever knew, but i believe that if you fall in love it'll hit you so hard, you'll just know.

I think when you find your first love, you'll just know. It's so different from a crush because a crush you can get over so easily but first love, I don't think they're ever really over. You'll always remember them because it's probably the first time you'll give your all in a relationship, and your first biggest heart break. Probably your first serious relationship and you'll feel like you would do anything for this person.

No, I wouldn't consider the guy/girl you first liked to be your first love... Especially when you're in 3rd grade; when you are a child. Most likely, in 3rd grade & around those early stages of development in your life, it's just a crush.

What is the cutoff between a crush; liking someone, and true blue love; loving someone? Liking someone & loving someone are similar in the sense that you can like/love many people, for many reasons & in different ways. But to me, love (in the sense that you are asking of) is much deeper & has a deeper meaning. If it's just a crush, I'm sure that you could easily get over that person, forget them or have ill feelings towards them. But if you truly love someone, being able to let them go would take time (I say let go because I don't think that you could ever get over someone you love, you can only let them go), you would never be able to forget them and your feelings towards them would never change.
