    Below are all the poems from both clubs, best of luck to everyone. I will post the results when the judges are done.
    ----------------------------------

    #1 Transperent Appearences

    Oh how weak are you, closed book!
    With confessions few, stoic
    Appearences hide, the imprisoned tears
    Never to confide, your intimate fears!
    The permanant mask you wear,
    That veil that shrouds you, everywhere,
    Falls to destruction, on lonely nights,
    From your inner self you can never hide!
    Friends are transiencient, leave your side
    But the man in the mirror forever remains,
    Even if contents it contains
    Are beyond recall to be never unstuck;
    Oh how weak you are, closed book!

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #2 Electrocuted
    Assulting life's essence -
    a diffused and wrinkled love
    lingers in the depths of sea (you)
    destroying the once standing,
    destroying the lines of life (me).
    Rigid wires embraced by plastic
    strung upon fat wooden straws.
    Touching ground, electrifies,
    touching you releases my pride.
    Smacking the ravenous,
    I cause an outrage
    while trying to stay a float.
    Splashing. Zapping. Embracing liquidation,
    natures endearment turned vicious
    as the tears of the world swallowed me.
    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #3 imprisoned

    a dwelling painted gray
    with bars across the doors
    this place beats me to my knees
    and keeps me crawling on all fours

    things are not as they appear to be
    for this prison has only a single cell
    and its located in a place
    much like the deepest pit of hell

    i swear i've lost my mind
    it appears this is my fate
    a part of my soul vanishes
    every time they shut those lidded gates

    i am held within a cell
    and yet i'm not confined
    for this cell is within my skull
    this prison is my mind

    inmates in Leavenworth
    have never seen what i've envisioned
    i have no hope of escape
    i am mentally imprisoned

    #4 Sorry I Couldnt Cry

    I watched you walk out of my life knowing it was a test
    Try as i might i couldn't pass even though i did my best
    I remember watching as you left hoping i would call your name
    But i didn't and you left causing unbearable pain

    In those few moments from love to heartbreak i felt my heart grow numb
    I now keep it all bottled up i guess you could say im dumb
    You and me were meant to be do you think that was a lie
    If you are reading this right let me say sorry i couldn't cry

    I really want you in my life you never should have left
    I'm not saying its all your fault it put some blame on myself
    I pushed you and i hurt i caused you un-needed stress
    But you have to experience my worst to know me at my best

    Let me apologize again i know you hate to cry
    Im trying to let you know the turmoil going on deep inside
    I wish to bear my heart to you if only you could accept
    Do with it whatever you wish you can be my guest

    The tears that i want to cry are from a language only the heart understands
    But my mind wont yield it disobeys my commands
    My pride it gets in the way and it causes my heart to lie
    Let me say again my love, sorry i couldn't cry

    If you would give me one more chance i know i can overcome
    The hold my mind has over me to let you know you are my one
    I'll never let you hurt again i hope you can believe
    I take away all your stress and give both our hearts reprieve

    #5 Underneath My Heart

    I look in the mirror and I wish just once
    you could see what I see.
    When the truth is no one sees me.
    They all see through me
    like a rushing waterfall.
    Powerful but so gentle.
    Beautiful but so inhumanly dangerous.
    But underneath it all I believe in us.

    I listen to the song
    that keeps playing in my mind.
    I want to get close to it,
    but I'm terrified to find another lie.
    I don't need another mistake.
    or another fake in an "I love you" disguise.
    Sometimes I forget not to dwell on yesterdays.
    But underneath it all I believe it will be okay.

    I struggle to read the words
    that lie in the middle of your eyes.
    I pretend to know what you mean.
    I try to catch my breath
    so I don't make a scene.
    I hide behind my skin,
    so you can't see I'm panicking.
    But underneath it all I believe this was meant to be.

    I try to find the laughter that lingers in my soul
    that is waiting to kill this anger I hold,
    to drown it so I won't keep it close.
    Close enough to make me feel,
    my blood isn't flowing through my veins.
    Suffocating me in past pain.
    Telling me to push you away.
    But underneath it all I know I'm not insane.

    I want to be the girl in your dreams
    the girl that makes your heart skip a beat.
    Thinking how someone could ever love me.
    Not wanting to go on
    because I might do something wrong.
    So ready to throw it all away.
    Fighting so I don't lose you
    But underneath it all I believe you when you say you'll stay.

    I remember why I cared
    why I missed you
    Why I needed you here.
    I've been so afraid to trust in myself.
    I was so far gone.
    But now I see
    All I needed to do was find love
    Underneath my heart.

    #6 For My Parents

    I never told you I could be perfect
    I never knew you thought I could be
    I'm just a plain old girl
    But you want so much more of me.

    I can't climb the midnight stars
    Or outshine the mid-day sun
    I'm just another accident
    With no where to run.

    I tried to be everything you asked for
    But I guess trying made me fall short.
    I'm just a bleak piece of glass
    Nothing like a diamond, I have no worth.

    I failed at being a good child.
    I just wanted to make you proud.
    I'm just a diagrace to you
    I won't be here long, I'm on my way out.

    I found your favorite set of knives
    Hoping to get them nice and clean
    I used my arms as a cutting board
    I hope this makes you proud of me.

    I love you mom and dad
    I just want you to know
    That I'm doing this just for you
    So keep letting me go.

    #7 Last Farewell

    She had always said,
    That she didn't care.
    How her father led,
    Cause it always made life unfair.

    Her father just wanted her.
    To have the best,
    And would not deter
    For anything less.

    And though he wanted that,
    He couldn't give her it all,
    Thinking of it where he sat.
    As his daughter stood tall.

    He sat thinking of her,
    So he picked up the phone
    As his vision started to blur
    And she picked the phone up at home.

    He told her he loved her,
    And she didn't understand.
    He said he couldn't lure,
    And I wish I could hold your hand.

    He was in Iraq,
    And had been shot.
    A lot of blood now lacked,
    As for life he now fought.

    He told her the story,
    And she started to cry.
    As her father she longed to see,
    As he gave a sigh.

    She said she was sorry,
    And she was everything she was now.
    As the night was starry,
    Because of her father right now.

    Her father said he had to go,
    And she started to cry more
    As she sobbingly sad no.
    He then dropped the phone and cord.

    She screamed no into the phone,
    And her head fell to the desk.
    As she silently cried at home,
    As her father thought she was the best.

    #8 Climbing Flowers. [Double Haiku]

    Sprouting flowers climb
    up tall white lattice fencing
    with a secure grasp.

    Lavender petals
    blanket diamond-shaped spaces
    with lilac perfume

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #9 This Is What I Tried To Say
    A hymn arches against my inner ear
    Whispering me a sad story to believe
    That my imagination will never plea
    In the complete darkness of my agony
    Truth be told reincarnation is my best bet
    Being the larva that'll eat my own flesh
    Would compensate, emaciate, and appreciate
    What I really stand for in this world most hate
    ''Listen'' this melody inside me plays
    Another scourge amongst my soul
    Shredding like the Jewish bodies in war
    ''What you read and see is where you'll only be''
    Kill me with white powder! I beg in eternity
    Instead I'm handed a sunflower, one that I mutilate
    Carving its end, dipping it in liquefied bread
    and again I hold another pen.
    ''So create what you think is art'' murmurs a musty tongue
    Breezing its way into how I perceive calamity
    And what do I see? Obliged humanity
    Corrupting children's minds into insanity
    Disgusted with this sound, as beautiful as it is,
    You will be the only one I'd ever love
    Strongly enforced by how I live my day
    I close this letter; this is what I tried to say.
    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #10 Deflating Parachute

    I have a good heart--
    but its breakable.
    It's dangling
    helplessly from
    bare emotions--
    like a delfating
    parachute.

    It's weathered many
    violent storms--
    electrocuted by
    destructive words;
    even poisoned by
    deceptive lies.

    Now--I'm allergic to
    love; repetitive
    exposion of
    feelings leaves
    me physically
    exhausted.

    Strength is dissipating
    and this deflating
    parachute is
    on the verge
    of dying--

    along
    with my heart,
    of course.

    #11 Bittersweet Romance

    Oh, bittersweet romance.
    Curse me for lifetimes,
    then offer me two hearts?

    Ropes of friendship,
    eternally binding, souls
    of lovers entwined:
    Yet this love is different.

    Hearts implode at a flawed smile,
    memories thaw emotions.
    His broken heart pumps
    butterflies through my dusty veins.
    Surely, this isn't friendship,
    is it?

    The second, perfectly intact.
    A heart brimming with companionship.
    Lover, certainly, yet the memories
    are not common, knowledge unshared.

    Could I give my heart to a stranger?

    Yet,
    could I trust it with a flawed soul?

    Oh, bittersweet romance.
    You have truly torn
    my heart to pieces.

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #12 My Souls Salvation
    My breath was stolen from my lungs
    My heart should've stopped in mid-beat
    Your beauty caused a battle with temptation
    In which I met defeat
    Your beauty flowed over me
    Like a ray of sunlight flows over a rose
    From the moment you entered my sight
    My eyes would cease to close
    I could not blink once
    Afraid of what I might miss
    Every day dream from that point on
    Would be about your kiss
    I stood before this angel
    And could not find the words to say
    This is the moment I could never forget
    For my dreams came true that day
    She kissed me on the cheek
    And I could not feel my face
    I asked her why she chose a man like me
    To bless with her embrace
    She said it was my eyes
    She had seen them in her dreams
    At this moment if I had a heart
    It would have tore apart at the seams
    She told me I stopped her heart
    When I stared into her eyes
    That I was her knight in shining armor
    In a broken mans disguise
    She put her hand against my chest
    And she shuddered at what she found
    When she tried to listen to my heart beat
    She could not hear a sound
    She could see it in my eyes
    The pain I carried every day
    When she wrapped her hand in mine
    I found it hard not to sway
    We locked eyes and I could see
    The love within her soul
    Her kiss made me complete once more
    Gradually filling my hearts empty hole
    And I will never forget the moment
    I lost my battle with temptation
    For it brought me to my other half
    It led me to my souls salvation
    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #13 Eternal Love

    The lover's hold, strengthens...
    Each moment, and also each day.
    For together they are one, a single duo.
    A puzzle where they are the only two pieces.
    And the picture they form, utter brilliance.
    Coming together, and never separating,
    The ultimate goal of these two people,
    For they share the love of eternity.

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #14 A True Friend I Wish I Had
    I wish I had a true friend
    To look out for me
    To comfort me when I need
    And to share secrets with
    I don't want a friend
    Who would play tricks on me for fun
    Or play silly games
    And would threaten me
    A friend has to be kind
    And gentle
    That person would always be there for you
    For good times and bad times
    I wish I had a true friend
    Sometimes I think that will never happen
    But there is always hope
    Or a light at the end of a tunnel.
    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #15 Sacrafical Hermitage

    Modest blueprints given at birth
    Orchestrated her undiscerning life,
    Mother's locket weighed heavy on her neck,
    A sepurichal silver chain
    Was a reminder, never to forget.

    It accompanied her to the grave-
    Old and heirless, she died solitary,
    Anonymous barren existence,
    An ultimate sacrafice.

    The small house mirrored her life
    But for the almost hidden attic,
    Where upon dusty candle-lit exploration,
    Vibrant watercolours of a woman
    Reveal themselves from each dim corner-
    Wedding dresses and giggling children,
    Familiar eyes pulsing with life-
    And no chain strangling her neck.

    The parasitic heirloom rusted
    Beyond memory in a sealed coffin,
    As the art endured the agents of time,
    It, unchanged, eternally remains.

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #16 And so She Dies Alone
    Left in an aphonic room is a soft beating,
    as a fervent heart loses blood as life's fleeting.
    Struggling for air, the pain begins to worsen.
    Why would someone do this to another person?
    Eyes wide open, staring at the textured ceiling,
    a soul tires to endure the unbearable feeling.
    The door is left cracked open with hand prints of blood.
    Tangled in sheets, she rolls off the bed with a thud.
    An aching groan escapes her lips, so perfect and pink.
    Vivid green eyes are hidden momently by a blink.
    Crawling for the hallway; now reaching for the phone,
    she just can't reach it and so she dies alone.
    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #17 Carved in Stone

    It's been months since you passed away,
    but in my mind you're here to stay.
    Whether I'm in the car or home alone,
    I see your name carved into stone.

    I see those eyes peirce through my soul
    and take away what makes me whole.
    The screeching wheels and crashing cars
    sent your kind soul beyond the stars.

    To picture your body sit limp at the wheel
    makes the thought of you dead seem so unreal.
    If only I could turn back the hands on the clock
    and change what happened in the final tick tock.

    Now we'll never hug, or hear each other's voices,
    and it's all because of another's bad choices.
    How I'll miss the times we used to converse,
    but life is a precious thing you can't reverse.

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #18 Owlet's, Sighs and Whispers
    Moping Owlets on branches of a yonder beech
    In a choir sang some uncouth rhymes
    in harsh and gravelly voices,which drew
    my sleep off, and thread of my fancies slit.
    I rose and leaned my back,against,
    the wall,with the cool of the winter
    in the marrow of my breast.
    These tangling unwonted cries appeared
    Abstruser musings as I harkening heed.
    Perchance, dirges in sad array or a passing
    tribute of sighs on some unknown death.
    A frozen sequestered soul
    I espied some wild shadows in my mind
    Of some flesh eaters smouldering an innocent bird
    whose feathers fly in a hush in the atmosphere
    These momentary frights froze the genial current
    of my soul;
    Results of this solitude or of owlet's cry,Perhaps.
    I sighted a deep,dark,chasm,and rubbing my eyes
    I tried to pull the quilt up to my cold back,but
    the Kangri shook and the cold hapless ashes kissed my feet.
    Suddenly,my mind thought of my little sister,
    how raptly she listened to my bed tale last night
    Of the agony of Oyster in her travails,but only
    a part she heard,when sleep overpowered her
    I rose like a moonstruck man and turned on the light
    And found her lying like mushroom on the mount
    in deep slumber,with fragrant blossoms blooming on her lips
    And a drop of sweat,dawned afresh,playing on her brow
    Perchance she was dreaming the rest of the tale
    Perchance the Oyster had labored forth a pearl!
    #19 Heavenly Love
    A withered soul
    battered horrendously
    black and blue
    swirls bloody sea
    waves of distinction
    splash upon thy brow
    refreshing bliss
    though painful now
    o'er yonder, rainbows glisten
    ye pot of gold so far away
    whilst gentle strokes promise survival
    thoughts of love shant ever stray
    yet distance humbles raging hearts
    and calm waters chill said tide
    life is Barnum's merry-go-round
    which few never learn to ride
    atop a wooden horse, one sits high
    frantically reaching for the sky.....
    ***Independence may set you free, but you'll always be a slave to reality
    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #20 House of Lies

    Lavender tinted sky
    Rests upon the willow
    No beauty in a house of lies
    No tears on Satan's pillow

    Lowered lashes hides the shame
    Torn dress, she wears it well
    Excuses for the bruises
    Secrets she won't tell

    Teacher smiles and looks away
    Preacher preaches on
    Each day around three o'clock
    She takes the long way home

    Sadness turns to anger
    A hardened heart can't break
    Emptiness protects the soul
    leaves nothing there to take

    Lavender tinted sky
    Rests upon the willow
    No beauty in a house of lies
    No tears on Satan's pillow.

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #21 Learning Curve
    Drank that love from in your eyes
    But thirsty, still was I
    Never was it meant for me
    You said, when passing by
    I craved the passion in your lips
    Indulged your foolish games
    Everything I thought it meant
    Burned up in those flames
    The trails you drew with tepid hands
    Along my waiting sin
    Now just scar my memory
    Leave coldness on my skin
    The lust that lived between our stars
    Love could not replace
    All the lessons that you taught me
    Time will not erase
    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #22 Secret In The Womb

    Secret in the womb
    Mistake made by two
    Price paid by one
    And no-one knew

    Choices to make
    Options to pursue
    Not enough time
    Decision overdue

    Almost too late
    Unsure what to do
    Can't avoid situation
    When it is true

    Try to talk about it
    Subject of taboo
    In the end couldn't say
    A point of view

    Just keep it in
    Let them have no clue
    Get rid of it and
    Then start anew

    Still it will fester
    Theres guilt to imbue
    Secret in the womb
    Mistake made by two

    The innocents of one
    Now faded through
    Terminated the fetus
    But still it can't undo

    Undo what happened
    The memories a tattoo
    Will last for ever
    Justice is overdue

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #23 "Get Over It"
    You think your way is right,
    and mine is wrong.
    Yet you dwell in the past,
    while I stay strong.
    Sorrow seeps through my heart.
    I see you cant forget.
    You live your whole life
    remembering it.
    It makes me sick in my soul,
    hearing you talk of it everyday.
    25 years later
    its still your mainstay.
    You wear it like a hair-shirt
    and live in the past.
    While I gamble with life
    and think the die is cast.
    I cant continue to decorate
    these walls that haunt.
    I'm past the pain
    that for you constantly taunts.
    What's the point in wallowing
    in ugly abyss,
    when life offers
    such beautiful bliss?
    ***The repercussions of abuse can consume a whole life if it is allowed.
    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #24 Reborn

    Once upon a dawning morn, love cast a dainty spell
    For in the heart of loneliness it found a place to dwell
    Clouds weaned shadows, sunburst streaked the white
    Final breath of morning mist, winged birds into flight

    Colors streamed the meadows, brilliant yellow daffodils
    Luscious was the grass (that day) green gold upon the hills
    Beneath blue of springtime sky, once dull life did waken
    Tears of sorrow rained (that day) for all I had forsaken

    I laughed --- and smiled --- and all the while
    - remembered-
    What had once been forgotten !

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #25 Loves Embrace
    Sweet, sensual, loves embrace
    Tender kisses upon thy bed
    Eyes the color of summer skies
    Scattered petals of roses red
    Touch of fire burns the soul
    Surrenders the last reserve
    Lost within this moments song
    Clinging tightly to every word
    Violent waves upon the sea
    Quench this thirst for fire
    Gentle power, a raging storm
    Fulfill two hearts desire
    Lovers lie entwined as one
    oblivious to the rising sun
    #26 Though in Death
    The air I breathe is trivial when my life's devoid of thee,
    your light so much more radiant than the sun to me.
    Here, my life is partial, when with thee, I was free,
    there'd be no source of evidence, just a costly guarantee.
    But in my world, there is no goal but to live in peace,
    for until death, my pain and agony will not decrease.
    But how can I find freedom when I suffer without thee,
    when the only remedy I know is to end my misery?
    I cannot find an answer, no mere words to suffice,
    for the pain of losing thee is an ample price,
    and so my love and amity, to thee I boldly vow,
    that--though in death--, to thee I do endow.
    #27 The Recluse
    She watched from her window,
    The people outside
    When she court them looking,
    Behind the curtain she would hide
    Once she went to her front door
    She really tried
    Put her hand on the handle,
    But access was denied
    She sat in the same old chair,
    And cried and cried
    The need get up and go out,
    Would not subside
    A conflict of emotion
    Her feelings collide
    Staying in again,
    At window she eyed
    And as darkness fell,
    On the switch she relied
    But it's not real light that,
    That the bulb can provide
    She became a recluse
    Anxiety stop her ever going outside
    Fear raped her mind and,
    In her chair she died
    #28 Blindfolded
    When,
    divination
    brought me to you;
    I was blinded.
    The moons shine was
    too much to bear
    so unspoken stars
    cursed purity.
    Sometimes I wish,
    you'd have imprinted
    your finger tips
    upon my lips;
    in the moonlight.
    You,
    reminded me
    of a sleepless night;
    when shapeless clouds
    were imperial.
    and like an insomniac
    I experienced lonely.
    Now when at sunset
    I am reminded;
    of spring evenings
    when you arranged
    a daisy chain 'round
    my wrist.
    Although with time,
    it gently withered.
    Our love remains of
    -efflorescence-
    Thank you for
    appearing to me again,
    in the moonlight.
    #29 Operator, The Line Is Dead
    Tonight,
    I just want to be by myself. I just want to be with you.
    To look into your starlight eyes
    and feel the weight of my sorrows decline
    when I hold the gaze of those remote suns in mine.
    And here I pick an armful of flowers from the garden
    of our memories. Your letters, brutal in their scent
    of woodflesh, raining memories on my paths.
    Sunlight, ripe with a presence of your smile that I used to own.
    Tonight I know you don't feel as alone.
    I don't miss your touch. But how I miss it.
    Tell my mind to let go and not remember,
    those nights when you have my hand in yours
    and I could not choose but surrender.
    The just before midnight sky you left me under.
    But now all that accompanies me are:
    A picture of you in a flight of laughter.
    An echo of your voice spilling out of an open door.
    The desolate space in my soul when you depart.
    The widowed wind howling in the desert of my heart.
    #30 Shadows Growing
    We are the children of the sun
    Guided by the light of the moon
    Trapped by our physical being
    As time wanes, our shadow growing
    Time slipping, despite us knowing
    Reach out and take my hand
    Play with me in the field of freedom
    Dance and sing as we turn back time
    For love can stop the ethereal clock
    As our hearts beat together, tick tock
    Souls deeply entwined
    Like drunken lovers
    Groping for a forever
    Knowing what must be done
    Giving your heart to the one
    Earthly life is just that simple
    Our souls finding each other again
    Returning to physical form each time
    Melting together for all the right reasons
    Love turning back the seasons
    The heavens abound
    Waiting for us
    Knowing we will be together again
    When our physical light shall fade
    Leaving a memory of all we made
    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #31 Ever Changing Life

    Rapids envelope a darkening soul,
    Every breath welcomes dirty water to fill the lungs,
    Drowning in this tempest of love,
    Surely not the worst way to go.

    Hope drags one to the banks,
    Life beating the mud from your chest,
    Begging your soul to come back to the light,
    Sunlight drying tormented tears of love.

    This adventure through chaos,
    Uplifting, yet draining,
    But you'll do it all again tomorrow,
    Chancing the return of suffering.

    Like a flower falls to the seasons,
    We are exposed to all facets of emotion,
    Each with it's own beauty,
    Even cold, bare winter possesses a subtle elegance.

    #32 For Painting Illusion

    An elusive painting-
    discolored;
    black horizon
    in the mid of day,
    dew drops fall
    on deceasing plants
    of copper leaves--
    spring:
    camouflage

    I took a swim through the colors:
    -when night prevailed-
    dark blue skies
    once the moon committed suicide..

    it was a starless view
    caught me for the wrong hue--
    feebly
    blind

    I beheld meteorites settling
    on my earth,
    while in pain I wondered
    how everything's changed to
    devastate
    my constellation

    Ashore, I clung to the last thread,
    where my painting was still beautiful,
    to find seashells retreated with the waves
    and stones cried on their own

    I took all the colors and walked away
    pursued the light;
    too late it was, for reaching
    the doors of salvation
    And I'm left
    forever
    forgotten

    #33 Charles

    There is no paper,
    with keys and bars.
    But still;
    sound fills the room.

    Notes swirl about his head,
    while he tickles the ivories.
    Vibrations of the song emanating from his instrument,
    make their way the ears of his listeners.

    -His audience cheers-

    The band that surrounds him
    plays to the melodic tune,
    full of soul,
    praise,
    and love.

    As it began, the song ends-
    there is applause,
    not a person in their seat.
    He stands,
    takes a bow
    -walks off stage.

    However all this legend sees,
    is darkness;
    even in his brightest moments.
    All his work is done
    by feeling the music-
    hearing what is played.

    You do not need to see to become great,
    just believe.
    Ray Charles did.

    ````````````````````````````````````````````
    #34 Each Usige
    Sometimes,
    in the shadow world
    I am reminded;
    of the night when
    our sky decayed,
    Paralyzing me
    as an
    aquaphobic.
    When,
    charcoal hearts eroded,
    I was seduced by thy bait.
    Like Snow white to her apple
    there was no escape.
    Mephistophelean.
    He,
    reminded me of
    a Kelpie -and
    lured me with his pain.
    A shape shifter in
    camouflage;
    to conceal
    diabolical taste.
    It was;
    Death by moonlight.
    Past Nox did I drown;
    Consumed by misery.
    Wishing I'd observed
    the seaweed
    which viciously
    strangled me.
    It was;
    death by sea.
    With venom
    upon his lips,
    an Ophidian kiss
    which froze
    my fingertips.
    -Hell hath no fury,
    like a woman scorned-
    Note: "Kelpie" not to be confused with the type of dog breed.
    Kelpies are shape-shifting water horses from folklore of Scotland and Ireland known as Kelpie, or Each Usige. Pronounced ['ech ooshskya']
    The kelpie usually appears standing near a river or stream looking like a beautiful pony. It appears to be lost and tame luring an unwary traveler to mount it, then making a sound like thunder the kelpie dives into
    deep water and drowns the unfortunate rider who is magically stuck to its back.
    Kelpies can assume human form, to seduce a human lover. To identify a kelpie look for a piece of seaweed entwined in hair.
    Although the more dangerous version of the Kelpie being the Each usige is not content with drowning its victims once it dives in the river it tears the victim apart devouring the entire body except for the liver.
    #35 Far Too Critical
    Posting a poem, purely sublime
    meeting rejection for lack of rhyme
    switching tactics like an abandoned ho'
    I tried concentrating upon the flow
    now they call me a filler whore
    for my poem had no metaphor
    nor did it establish anything clear
    so forgive me for not being shakespeare
    changed again and tried to rhyme
    forced, was the issue this time
    here I sit with paper blank
    while my muse walks the plank
    drowning in a swirl of critical hate
    from literary clowns out of date
    and yet here I am with so much sass
    telling you all to kiss my ass....
    #36 Sweet Death
    Life...a monastery of sadness...
    Haunted by colorful sorrows
    -of wintry afternoons, and costly tears
    from regrettable flood of emotions
    yet mostly never shed...
    Life...a kingdom of hatred...
    Where minds are slaves of magical
    knives -and- numb wrists
    "CUT-RIP-SLICE" to death
    while souls---screams out in pain
    Life...a theater of depression...
    A place for all that is blue
    where lingering scent of hell befriends
    the paranoiac thoughts in their wildest---
    yet, loneliest...HOURS...
    Dark memories of this so-called life,
    Freshly shelved between crocked
    smiles and disgust...Nothing seems
    -to matter, but a kiss of sweet death...
    (Just a tribute to Goth Poets that daily dies)
    #37 Beneath Those Pearl Eyes
    Many times -
    I wondered how many memories lay beneath the lines and creases
    that shaped her face into the most beautiful puzzle.
    - Endless hours listening contently -
    As she would describe so precisely the photo atop the mantle of the handsome man in the black coat. I, with eyes full of life always failed to see the twinkle in his eyes she so zestfully described
    and sometimes wondered -
    (if perhaps her imagination played tricks on her mind)
    Today -
    The old antique china cabinet
    (the one I loved so much as a child)
    with it's figurines and glass vases stood vacant.
    Funny how before today I never noticed the
    crack in the mirror nor that twinkle in my eye.
    Remembering -
    How I sat those days ...
    My face between her hands as she felt the youthfulness of my skin.
    Her pearl colored eyes dull yet - held such happiness
    For I know now, she knew
    exactly what I looked like
    all along.
    For there was I and he and
    a twinkle ...
    #38 The Lion
    Through the bars people stare at me
    What a mighty meal they'd be
    If just for once a gate wouldn't close
    Or if I could bite my trainer's toes
    When in my native habitat
    I don't seem like so large a cat
    Land to roam for miles and more
    Many species to hunt, chances to score
    Now in captivity I bask in the sun
    This little place, no room to run
    I pace around the perimeter
    Golden orange, my mane of fur
    Wish my eyes could melt these bars
    Chase you all back to your cars
    And once again I'd be in charge
    King of the land for I am that large
