I've been in your exact situation, so I can relate really easily. I wasn't looking for a guy, but I was on this game/chat thing, then I met this great guy, who I eventually started to love. I've known him for about 2 years now, and its been off and on, and we've met once. Like your parents, my parents weren't too keen on the idea at first, but they asked me more about him, they made sure that there was nothing suspicious happening (like every good parent would), and when they took me to meet him, they saw that he was just a normal, nice kid like me. I still love him, but we're on shaky ground right now. So to get back to my advice, lol, take it slow, don't push something like that onto your parents or yourself, because then it'll definitely feel weird, and that's the last thing you want. With someone you've met on the net, you have to have the time to Really get to know him, and for him to know you, otherwise it won't be true, so just go with the flow. |
