5/5 excellent how?

I have looked at all the poems I have rated 5/5 recently and I stand by my rating as no two poems can ever attain equality they as far as I am concerned either blow me away or confuse me so much I leave them in the latter category alone. The poets I give my excellent rating don't realise that I have sometimes read twenty or more poems to find their gem and that I is why for those who think the rating system of our site is a joke really annoy me so why do they continue to enter our site I ask because of our members poetry excellence that is why. What do you think of our rating system can it be improved I don't think so? Ray S

I really like the idea of writing a reason for the rating,
I've never took rating seriously but I think that could change things for the better! Either that or get rid of it altogether.

The voting system is fine for quotes... But I'd rather much receive a comment from someone about what they liked about my poem, how they can relate to the poem, if they have an suggestions, advice, etc. A vote tells me nothing. I learn from & appreciate the comments much more. If they want to keep the voting system, then I think to be allowed to cast your vote on a poem a comment or suggestion should follow.

I think it would be best if you were just allowed to leave a comment/critique. The voting is a joke.

I try my best. :) I've been infrequent with commenting lately; been a bit busy with my life and all. If you need honesty; I'm your man though! :P

Ahh, it's just a point system. Anyone who pays too much attention to it relies too much on others to further their writing. It's nice to get 5s and it sucks to get 1s but oh well. Everyone has their own opinion on poetry and how it should be written; hence the 1s and 5s for the same poem.

When people downvote, oh well.
When people don't, that's good :)
