Anything goes... therefore any subject, old or new.

I will limit the entries to 2 per person, just to make it a bit more fair.

    Thank you very much.

    Reborn

    My emotions-
    -choked by
    devious vines-
    grant no
    evident escape.

    My memories-
    -layered with
    opaque cloaks
    of confusion-
    tell falsehoods.

    My thoughts-
    -controlled by
    the notorious
    curse of pride-
    devour all good.

    My mind-
    -injected with
    a broadening
    venom-
    foresees death.

    My soul-
    -molded into
    a guardian of
    Lucifer-
    welcomes the end.

    Divine Unity

    Lipstick stained sheets
    Curve around our figures
    Like summer afternoons
    Intoxicating us with
    Torrid passion.

    Our inseparable souls
    Weave melodies filled
    With sentimental lyrics
    That were engraved upon
    Angels' satin wings.

    Sunshine seeps through
    The facade generously
    Streaming with buoyancy
    Shielding us willfully
'Til it can bear no more.

    The day wears on
    Continuing without
    Our presence
    As we experience
    Real paradise.

    The phone sounds
    Watchful cloaks turn
    Impatient horns
    Are shrieking
    And you hesitate.

    Pleading arises from
    My lips faintly
    The desire is too
    Overwhelming
    You just can't resist.

    As night rolls in
    With its polished smile
    We both realize that
    This is only the
    Very beginning.

    Words can't begin
    To define true love
    But it's moments like
    These that portray
    Divine unity.

    A Journey Into Your Life
    by Italian Stallion

Everytime I daydream, I dream of you.

Your love encompasses me like my sun-tanned skin, derived from blissful moments in a resolute journey. A journey, through littered roads with broken hearts, not a destination. It's a exploration in the lines of fire in which I'm willing to partake.

You're the coffee that I drink: strong, bold, and sweet. I can taste the luscious tenderness amidst my lips, I can smell the floral fragrance emitted; and I tell myself, I must be dreaming, dreaming of you, once again.

They say paintings paint a thousand words, well I hope the same is true for poetic prose, I hope my words paint a vivid scene in which you'll embrace, like I've been doing these past couple of days.

Reality recently smacked me right in the face, I must admit, I must of been blind...

I daydream, whenever I'm not with you.

    Defiance
    by Italian Stallion

Defiance - the hunger of survival. Followed. Murdered.
The tidings of intelligent activity (derailed; recycled.)
    Individual hunger lingers in the depths of the woods;
searching for shelter, hunting for food - voracious.

    A community of hearts
    ...torn apart
    ......Persecuted
    ..........Faithful
    .............Murdered.

    The massacres evolve...with ravenous games,
while the chambers of hell extend regular flames.
Survival amongst death despite endless starvation,
they fight for their lives; God's faithful creation.

    There's freedom sought with...

    pride,
    ...courage,
    ......and hope

    defining worlds humanity;

Adversary: artificial pursuit arranged, scouted then degaged,
the Einsatzgruppen hunted, laughing at the pleasure they gained.
Slaughtering house - chambered then gassed or lined and executed,
an distinguished existence now altered: described as "The Holocaust."

    Into The Unknown.

    A pallid rose
    with edges outlined
    charcoal black
    accentuates burned
    hope--shaped by
    expired dreams.

    Unspoken secrets
    entwine in spiral
    formation; sealed
    beneath the heart's
    core--emotions
    camouflaged.

    Twirling its fragile
    stem betwixt
    trembling fingertips;
    its shadow appears
    below, atop
    translucent
    waters.

    An effortless toss,
    and it's set afloat
    into the unknown;
    swimming freely--
    while shifted by
    rapid currents of
    a waterfall.

    At War.

    I tend to wrestle
    with my emotions--
    seldomly they
    tangle themselves
    into a cluster; that
    I have to pry them
    apart with the tool
    of inner strength.

    They swarm around
    me, forming a vicious
    army of confusion--
    that a bullet of such
    extreme power is
    just enough force
    to make them stumble
    to their own death.

    The aftermath is
    bittersweet--relief
    so soothing; yet--
    there's still that
    ounce of regret--
    I'm rather numb;
    emotions are
    splattered with
    colorless blood...

    Leaving me
    wonder--why did
    I ever go to war?
    At least I was
    victorious...right?

    Lovers and liars

They say you have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince
Took so long to find that I thought he didn't exist, wasn't convinced
But babe seems you got me believing once again in a fairytale
Love shown each and everyday is proving maybe this time it will prevail

Always been quick to fall in the past, giving into dangerous desire
Then realizing I'd only found Mr cheater, Mr Wrong and Mr liar
Only this time it feels so different, thinking I've found Mr right
A once broken and shattered heart you've caused to ignite

Tried so hard to fight how I felt, all of those growing feelings
Only now I'm feeling sure, this is one love that's so appealing
Caring, gentle, kind, affectionate...finally found my lover
Never would have guessed I had so much to learn and discover

Always fell for the bad guy, proceeded without hesitation
Each and every time, heartbreak was my only destination
This time feeling so safe and loved, yearning for your touch
Never would have guessed it possible for me to love so much

Only been a short time, but I'd be bereft without you in my life
Would be trying to live, but already know I would only survive
Days would be long, nights so empty, leaving me cold and frozen
I'd finally truly understand the meaning of being heart broken

They say you have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince
Took so long to find that I thought he didn't exist, wasn't convinced
But babe seems you got me believing me once again in a fairytale
Love shown each and everyday is proving maybe this time it will prevail
