Would you Trade anything for love?

i once told my ex-gf... that i would trade anything in my life ... just so she could give me another chance of love... i told her i would trade my life my soul... just for another chance of love... but in the end... she rejeceted me.... to tell you the truth? i would trade those two things... cause those two things mean nothing to me... when am not with her

Steven it sounds like you dont have enough trust issues yet lol. Seriously though, once a person gets hurt and gaurded its IMPOSSIBLE for them to love selflessly like that. I always say that you should never allow yourself to be anything less than 100% emotionally self sufficient, which means that you could live without anyone and be perfectly fine, unfortunately love doesnt work that way because then you cant fully love another person.

I have a thesis that in each relationship there is a dagger. One person holds the dagger at all times, and obviously can stab and hurt the other person. This means that one person is unprotected and "loves" the other person more, because they are willing to get hurt for their love, and they risk it all. The person who holds the dagger is the one with the trust and intimacy issues, they have been hurt before, or they have abandonement issues. Basically they are incapable of loving fully because they arent willing to let the other person hold the dagger. THEIR pain means more to them than YOURS. Make sense?

Anyway I think I am too smart to ever let myself get hurt lol. Thats how I look at it, but in reality I just wont allow myself to feel that pain, so I can never love fully and will therefor not give anything for love. Would I give anything to be able to trust and love a person fully? Yes. But would I give anything to be in love? No.

ok...i know i will probably get bitched at for this but...

i smoke and so does my boyfriend. he has been asking me for about 3 monthes to quit and i have said that i would but i never did. then one day i realised that i would do anything or give up anything to make him happy. right now i am down to 2 a day and i am proud of it because not only is my boyfriend happy, but i have money now instead of going to get a pack of cigarettes every 2 or 3 days. so ya i would give or trade anything for the love of my boyfriend. and i dont have to worry about him not loving me in return...that is the whole reason he wants me to quit!!!

hey? good job! quit smoking is hard... but trading smoking for love.. is something that o.O many people might do... nice job! and keep it up... and i hope smoking ends for you... cause i sure do miss smoking... even when am just 15...

ya trying to quit has been really hard. but i love my bf and i would do anything to make him happy...even if that means giving up a habit i have had since i was 11 (i am almost 17...1 month and 3 days). but he wants me to so i am going to try...i have 3 left and when i finish them...i am completely done. thanks for the support...

i would give up everything for the ONE i love......when you have love why give up stuff for something you already have.......

to trade something for love is not truly earning love, but bargaining for it. I know that trading for love isn't possible in the first place, but if it was, then love would not be naturally earned.

i guess i agree with you...i dont think you can physically trade something for love...it has to be natural. but i do believe you can risk something for the hope of making your love stronger
