Death -a question.

My mom told me this once, that a woman (I can't seem to remember her name, it was a while ago) who did a survey all across the world on people that have had near-death experiences. She published a book (Again, can't remember it, but I could ask my mom later if anyone would like to know what it's called, or if anyone does, thats helpful too) about it, and apparently she found that people who had been in car accidents, were attacked by someone, or something like that, found that most of those people felt peaceful after they were medically 'dead', and sometimes they would be happy to stay there, but then they would hear someone or feel something calling them back, and then they woke up, to find they had had a near-death experience.

In another part of her survey, those who had attempted suicide or were drowning, OD-ing, or things of that nature, felt scared and the place they were in was dark and not welcoming while they were 'dead'. They ended up being pulled back as well.

These people are from all over the world, different countries, continents, cultures, races, and religions. Though, a lot of the stories matched up in a way. I found this incrediably interesting and wanted to see your guys' pov. What do you think? Is it just coincidence? Is it proof there is a heaven/hell? What are your opinions.

I understand that, I just find it really interesting how it's scary and dark and unwelcoming for the large majority of those who were planning on commiting suicide. I mean, you'd think it might be the same for those who were aware they were being attacked, or could see the accident coming, but it wasnt.

I just find it really intriguing

Hmm, true. Though it was never said that those weren't going through depression and such, themselves. So maybe they couldnt find peace in life? You'd think it may make it harder to find peace in death. Also, some suicide victims aren't necessarily afraid when their doing it, actually, for those who think it's the only way out, you'd think that it'd be peaceful for them because their finally 'free'. But who knows. (:

And another thing! Plenty of those victims who weren't the suicide ones, had children, families, and such. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to be completely happy with leaving my family behind, actually, thats why most said they came back. They heard a voice of a loved one or something they had to finish pulling them back and woke up in the hospital [:

Thats very interesting, I wouldnt mind reading the book. I dont think this necessarily tell you if theres a heaven and hell, nobody knows until they die.

I believe that the suicidal, OD, etc. people were in a dark place because they were in a dark place mentally and emotionally. They were fed up with everything and probably just didnt care at that point. While the ones from the car accidents, were attacked, etc. didnt know it was coming and there at that point in time were in a peaceful, "happy" place.

I believe its all about how you feel that moment, like sometimes in dreams if you went to sleep sad, or mad, or happy, or whatever your mood is right before you slept most likely you'll have a dream upon that mood. I could be wrong.

Not many people question things in the world, we just take everything in without a pause

^Actually, from my experience, a lot of suicide victims try and kill themselves in order to find peace. (correct me if I'm wrong?)

I just thought it was interesting how alike all of the recollections.. it just seems too much of a coincidence to me, the then again, could just be me.

(I'll try and find the name of the book, I have to remember to ask my mom lol)
