A question for all you religious folk out there~

So, all you religious folk out there =) What's your religion, and why are you part of that religion? What does it really mean to you? How do you practice? If you ever had to choose a different religion, what would it be?

Religion is one of the most powerful forces on earth. You asked tricky questions, so many people practice the same religion differently. My religion has no name and i dont practice it i just believe in it, i believe us humans have the power to change the world as we also have the power to distroy it, the wars are perfect examples. The amazing technology they're creating goes to show the good and how heaven and hell are on earth. I also believe in alittle bit of everything and i also respect every religion. so please if anyone does decide to post about their religion dont disrespect or criticise the religion of others.

I was born and raised as a buddhist. I believe in many other things but I do call myself a buddhist. I do agree with there teachings and it's important to me because I think it keeps me stable. It helps me decide if my actions or right or wrong. I don't really practice it..but I do go to the buddhist temple once a year, and that's it :/ If I had to choose another religion..I don't think I would choose any. I would probably be atheist.

I believe in Science, and the genius of people to create non religious ideas to help us understand the world in a way that is open and empowering.

I think we all need to take our eyes off the sky and start looking at each other for cause and effect.

We were a young species once, childlike in our ideas about the sun controlling life and death etc, and if you follow religious thought from there you can see how we've very slowly made more complex but equally misguided versions of that original belief in the light of the world, or the Sun...the Sun that is God, or the "Son of God" as it's known now.

I like the sun, alot but I don't think it's a god.
