Hello all! I recently created a new club called "Unified In Christ" that is focused on the works and doings of Christ. It is a religous group and here is a bit of the summary:

This club is a religious active club that will focus on praying for others and acknowledging Christ everyday in our lives. Any religion is welcome, and you are more than welcome to share your knowledge of your religion to inform others. This is not just for the Christians or Catholics, please keep this in mind. There will be rosary's that will be said weekly, an intention list, daily proverbs and bible passages, finding one's true self and thier purpose on this earth, and discussing issues we are facing in today's society whether certian contraversies or certain politics. Also will be poetry that we can share with each other to strengthen and teach. The purpose of this group is to strenthen the hearts of others and to learn about Jesus Christ and help others see his presence daily in our lives; also to unify our brothers and sisters as one body of Christ. No matter the religion, race, or position, we are all unified, we are all children of God and this is what this family will be about.

Please, I need two assisants who would be committed to this and any members are welcome!

Thank you and God bless you all!

I am not asking for people to be really active, just to be respectful and open to learning the word of God.

Any takers to start this club off? I already have a good friend that is helping me out, thanks!

[Deleted this part of my entry so everyone just relax]
At 14 I believed in God, but the teen years are very enlightening years - many intensely strong beliefs and emotions change their course...

Anyway, my vague thoughts on the subject are exactly that - vague - so I hope you're not offended.
    Good luck.

I just think it sounds like a wet blanket party, but i dont really think i fall in the target audience.

I mean aren't there a lot of religious/christianity based websites that have very similar functions to this? This is a poetry site and you don't mention poetry in your club's description. Maybe you'd get more people who wanted to join if you tied poetry into it more, make the club about writing poems about god and how he is super duper and stuff.

You say the club is not just for Christians or Catholics, but aren't Catholics indeed Christians? And if it is in fact not only for Christians, why is the title of the club "Unified in Christ?"

    ^^

We are all children of God and therefore united by that fact..whether we believe in Him or not.

I believe in MaryAnne and am willing to help her get started with her club, although I am not as religious as she is..not by far. For her I gladly give up my position as a free agent on here, because I am convinced she'd do great and the idea of doing this with her is something I am looking forward to. She is a gifted poet and a good person. I will be around there to chat and do workshops on poetry and hold contests, along with MaryAnne herself..that is to say..if we get enough people to join in:)

Wow, didn't know it would spark that much conversation.

Okay, I do see your guys points about poetry and I had just forgotten to include that in the description, I did have it in my mind though to share ideas and pieces. But the main focus is God, and that is the message I am trying to convey.

Silvershoes- You did not offend me, but what you wrote seemed to imply to me that I am to young to engage myself in such strong faith and proclaiming it? That is just what I got off of it but thank you for the good luck.

Thanks Ingrid for replying to forevertobeart...Catholics are indeed Christians, but my title is saying that Christ is for all of us, and that we like Ingrid said, are all children of God, no matter whether we believe.

I sometimes see myself as one of the most active members on this site that still spells God with a capitol G. If I had not have got so attached to T.C. I would have responded to this invitation without pause. A club like you describe could never be seen by Christians with your convictions as a wet blanket party. I hope to see more willing to stand up to be God's light
May God bless you and your endeavor.

Yeah, I realize my opinions are a bit condescending and prejudiced, so again, I hope you didn't take what I said to heart.

I know, I know. Ok, I can see how what I said could be really offensive and it's definitely "unGodly." But, FRANKLY, to me, believing in God is like believing in the boogie man, so it's hard for me to be completely understanding, serious, or fair.

Sorry guys. I'm gonna peace out of this thread.

Good luck in your endeavors, Pure Bride!

P.S. At least I got this thread rolling, huh ;)
