My Biology professor presented us with this video and additional information on this project one day for class while we were discussing genetics. I'd already known that we all originated from Africa, but to actually trace back and follow your family, heritage, history and more I thought was beyond amazing. I've always been interested in my families, however extended, heritage, history and more. Basically, I've always been interested in, longed to know and dreamed of where my family came from. I know general information such as I have family in Canada (obviously), England and Scotland, that I am English, Scottish, German, Ukraine, etc. and some general history. Someday I'd like to travel to these places, get to know my relatives and ask them about our past. Thanks to The Genographic Project I have the opportunity to make that interest, desire and dream possible and to learn more than I ever thought I could. I thought that this might be something some of you P&Q members would be interested in knowing too or interested in participating in as well. :)

Here are a couple of sites where you can find more information or even sign up to participate:

We all come from Africa everybody!!!!
It's pretty interesting, but as a Muslim I feel like I already know this. Because according to our beliefs we all come from adam and eve... their genes were mixed, had everything in them and so each of their sons and daughters looked different and represented a different ethnic group.
My grandad has our family tree that starts with us and ends up to adam and eve.

Lol, picking on poor Kevin. My biology professor presented us that missing link picture as well as an article too. Before that, the first time I actually looked into it was when it was when Google first made it their home page. It made for an interesting class and reading just as much as The Genographic Project. Do I just believe we all come from Africa? Not in the least, I have many of my own ideas and beliefs.

And no, I'm not personally saying that we're all a product of incest. But if that's all you got out of what I had to share or the video then... I'm just sharing a personal interest of mine with others who might be interested in their families heritage, history and more, however extended that is.

It seems if we look at our origins objectively someone is going to be humiliated. I have observed evolutionist, who seem less humiliated to be told that they evolved randomly, and were not created in the image and likeness of the divine. Others prefer to believe that it is somehow more dignified to believe most of the evolution took place on another planet. If human dignity has only been influenced by chance what chance do we have of influencing it?

Yes Rocky, I'm saying that we are all a progeny of incest.... acording to my beliefs of coarse.
"and makes you wonder how people can be racist knowing we are all related by blood......hmmmm"
ya, that is weird... the way life always is.
