Just wondering what you guys think makes a good gift from a friend, a friendship gift so not from a partner or relative.

I think it is nice to give and recieve personal gifts, so all my friends get a box or a bag for their birthdays and Christmas, and the box or bag is their favourite colour. then there is always a keyring of their favourite character or cartoon etc. a teddy of their fave animal. just like a fun lucky bag sort of thing.

I also love photo gifts, where people take the time to put together an album of photos , or a photo in a frame etc. I have done this often for friends.

Well, most of the time if it's a girl, I'd go with a stuffed animal :3

If it's a boy, a video game or a hat? ;)
For my best friend's birthday, I'm gonna get her a bear holding a mirror. :3 'Cause she's really vain. D;
