Why the rainy weather is called romantic?

This Question was bugging around in my head and i couldnt figure it out so can any one just tell why do we call rain weather " Romantic" .. Iam kinda confused .. :P

Well have u ever just sat at a window with the one u love and cuddle and just watch it rain it is very romantic to just watch the rain and hold the one that u love so much

I think rain is romantic because in some cases people who prove their love for someone in the rain, are more affectionate

Rainy weather is definitly romantic, at least to me it is. The rain always seems to bring out all the best, fresh and natural smells, like Britt said, more than any day in the sun could. I remember going outside for a walk with my partner one rainy afternoon. We held hands, would stop in the middle of the road and kiss. I kicked a puddle of water at him and in return he kicked a puddle of water at me. We hadn't realized until after that at the bottom of those puddles was sand and that by the time we came inside not only were we wet but also dirty. We changed, put our clothes in the laundry and later put on our freshly dried, clean and warm clothes. We preceded to cuddle on the couch and listen to the rain. It was one of the most natural things in the world.

Rainy weather seems more gloomy to me. it depends on the type of rain. if it is a slow gloomy rain o a thunderous storm of emotion.
