Why is it so easy to fall in love, but so hard to get out of it?

Why is it that our hearts can attach to a person, but when we're hurt by that person, its hard to let go?It's like some wierd internal trick.
We care for people who hurt us, and it's very strange.

Because we want so badly for it to work out and we hope, and pray that they'll love us back.

We're blinded by love.

I agree... I have no control over my stupid heart, though... And I'm tired of falling in love with people who don't even care about me.

I totally agree! I have also have been in a relationship where the love was only one way. I gave him everything and I was the one who ended up hurt.

My friends and family told me he was bad news and that all he wanted was to use me and did I listen to them? No, and needless to say they were right!

So from expiernce I have learned not to fall for someone who hasn't fallen or falling for you too. I learned from my mistake in that one.

I wish I had that much control..
I feel like I just give my heart away without even knowing it.

I'm sure it happens to all of us. I think we have to experience that so we can learn from our mistakes.

I'd rather feel something than just be numb.

Love stinks, because there is not gurantee that just because you are madly in love with someone that they are going to feel it back. It's such a difficult game!
