    Okay. Well.

As is said in the title, I have a stalker ex.

However, he hasn't done anything in about a month.

I have a lot of his belongings at my apartment and I wonder if I should give them back. I'm thinking I shouldn't.

    What do you think?

^ I agree. If he is "stalking" you, you don't want to come into contact with him of any kind; not in person, not through text, not by phone or any other means. Some alternative options: 1) If you have a mutual friend or can get one of his family members to pick up his things. 2) Rent a storage unit for a day, or however long you want, and then get someone to call him to tell him when and where to pick up his things. 3) Get a friend of family member to be present at [your place of residence] when he comes to pick up his things. You could stay at someone elses place or go out while they make the transaction.

"I'm thinking I shouldn't." Why the hell ~wouldn't~ you give them back; why give him a reason to keep "stalking" you? When, or if, you go to the police about it if he continues to "stalk" you he can say that it's because you are in possession of his belongings, have yet to return them to him and he is just trying to get in contact with you to retrieve them. Everything will fall on you. Once he's finally in possession of his belongings he has no reason get a hold of you.
