    What is you phobia?

    Arachnephobia-fear of spiders

This one time when there was a spider in my room i got into place as if i was going to kill it. i had a shoe ready and everything. Unfortunately i tossed the shoe in the air and ran from it, screaming for my mother.

The only major fear i really have is a fear of hights, but strangely enough i also love them. to stand at te edge of a cliff and just look down, it is wonderfully exilirating

strangely enough my one friend is petrified of ketchup. has no problem with tomatoes but cant stand to even be in the same room as a bottle of ketchup

So basically Rocky its an adrenaline for you. I feel the same way about heights but not as scared of them as spiders. and your friend possibly think of the ketchup as blood if tomatoes are okay.

Yes that "cute little creature that says 'Phone Home'" scares the living hay out of me. Someone starts to say the phrase and I nearly pass out.

I have a fear of wooden
    tongue suppresors, like
    those at a Doctors Office.

    Dry wood against my wet
    tongue, certainly chills me
    to the bone.

I have FOUR fears that sort of go hand-in-hand. I have a fear of algae; fear of dark water; fear of fish; and, fear of lakes! When I was a kid, at the lake, I was dog paddling through the water, picking up fists of sand. I'd found something on the bottom of the bed and brought it to the surface (it was a giant fishes head). Needless to say, I ran out of the water screaming. So now, I have a fear of algae, because the feeling of it on my skin reminds me of the way fish in the lake feel; a fear of dark water, because I don't like to swim in water where I can't see the bottom; a fear of fish, obviously; and, a fear of lakes, naturally because all three (algae, dark water and fish) typically are part of that ecology. However, my phobia's are finicky. Because I've had more pet fish than I could count, have held other fish [since said moment], eat fish and like to go fishing. I also like to go swimming at the lake with family and friends, I just stick to the clear, algaeless shallows. Although, I love to go tubing, I just hold on for dear life and pray I don't fall off!

Lol wow mustve been a pretty terrifying event

  • Elizabeth

Haha, I suppose. It doesn't help that you almost drowned before. However, that experience has not stopped me for living my life to the fullest. I love to swim! Like I said, I do love to go swimming at the lake, fishing, jet skiing and tubing, and I will suck it up if I'm in the company of others. But, believe me, that fear is always there lurking on the surface of my mind. You'll never catch me out there alone, that's for sure!

I also have a fear of the sea. Funny I say that, because just a year ago I was sailing the Mediterranean Sea, haha. However, on the ship I was terrified of slipping over or under the railing. But nevertheless I stood by the railing, even leaned on it and stared down at the waves rippling around the ship. I just made sure I was not out there by myself for too long. I highly doubt you'll ever catch me swimming in open water either, I'm afraid that I'll be left behind.

    I own many :)
but my biggest one isn't actually a phobia (if you check the official list of recognized phobias)...
anyway, my biggest fear is losing my mind and going hopelessly insane..
