    Hey everyone :)
I sincerely hope and wish this discussion would start and end peacefully, because I did not come here to make any fuss or problems.
I'm only here to share what I have to, because I'm a believer and I feel like I have a message to deliver to some of the people here who disrespect Islam and other religions.

Today is Introduce Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon him (PBUH) day. All I'm going to do is post a couple of videos, some words of Non-Muslim historians, scientists and philosophers about the Prophet.

This post is going to be a bit long, but if you could please just take a look and think deep, you'll find out that Muslims are like any other society, embracing the good and the bad, struggling with their thoughts, we're all human beings after all, we make mistakes but in the end go back to our creator, Allah/God.

Please take a look at those words, and if you want to discuss, I'm all ears and I promise no harm will be caused Insha'allah (If God wills)

1- This is a Facebook video that one of my friends made:
    http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=450118329571&ref=mf
It embraces 40 Hadiths (Sayings of the Prophet), and the song playing in the background is for a British Muslim called Samy Yusuf, song is Mu'alem.

2- This is another video of the words of the Non-Muslim people:
    http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=276576595500&ref=share
The Arabic words in the background might distract you a little bit, so I wrote the whole translation instead of watching the video if you don't want to..
    Here are the words:

God sent his Messenger Mohammed Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH) as mercy to the universe, His mercy prevailed all humans, non-humans, stones, trees, solids, animals, Muslims and Non-Muslims. Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), when he sent the army to fight the oppressors and aggressors ordered his companions not to kill an old man, or a child or a woman, not to cut trees, or destroy buildings, not to slaughter animals, but only for food, he also ordered them not to disturb monks, and leave them alone in their hermitages. He also elevated women's prestige saying "women are men's sisters".
His love extended to include all God's creatures. He even ordered his companions after they burned ants, saying "No one is ought to torture with fire except for the creature of fire".
Throughout history, many Non-Muslim great thinkers and intellectuals stood fascinated by the personality of Prophet Mohammd (PBUH) and his Biography, they highly lauded his stances and principles.
-Hercules, the Great Roman Emperor, asked many questions about Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) to Abu Sufian, and he reached the conclusion of the truth of Mohammed's call, he even said "If I were in his presence, I would wash his feet". The beard of King Al Najashi of -Habasha (Ethiopoa) becamse wet with his tears when he heard some of what prophet Mohammed (PBUH) came with. Al Najashi said these words and what Jesus said, come from the same lantern.
-The French philosopher, Lamartine said " Mohammed (PBUH) is the philosopher, Orator, Apostle, Legislator, Warrior, Conqueror of fantasies, in all standards by which human greatness is measured, we may well ask: Is there any man greater than Prophet Mohammed?!"
-The famous English playwright George Bernard Shaw said: "The world much needs a man with Mohammed's bright thinking. If a man like Mohammed were to assume the rule of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems and bring peace and happiness to it"
-Michael Hart said: "My choice of Mohammed to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers, and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religion and secular levels"
-The great Indian Leader Mahatma Ghandi said: "After I finished the second part of the Biography of Mohammed, I felt I needed to know more about this great personality, He uncontested, won the hearts of millions of people".
-Thomas Carlyle, the English writer, said: "I like Mohammed for his hypocrisy-free nature..with clear and sound words he addresses the Roman Tsars and Kings of Persia, he guides them to what he loves for them in this life and in the eternal life".
-George Wells, the English author, regards Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) as the greatest personality who established a state for justice and tolerance".
-Ligtner said: "I declare my hope to see a day coming in which Christians will highly respect Jesus through their respect to the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Truly the Christian who recognizes the religion and right path brought by Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is clearly the true Christian".
The famous Russian writer Leo Tolstoy believes that Mohammed's religion will prevail over the whole world, as it is in conformity with mind and wisdom".
-Jean-Louis Michon, the French orientalist, said: "Islam which ordered Jihad or Holy War, had much tolerance with followers of other religions..As per the teachings of Mohammed (PBUH)".
-Omar Bin Al Khattab, did not inflect harm on Christians when he conquered Jerusalem.
-The well-known French Historian Gustav Lobon said: "Mohammed is the greatest man that history ever knew".
-Will Durant, author of The Story of Civilization said: "If we rated greatness by the influence of the great on people, we will say Mohammed is the greatest of the great in history".

"And verily, you (O Muhammad) are on an exalted standard of character." Sura 68 of the Holy Quran. Verse 4.

About Michael Hart, here is the Wikipedia link to his book, for a proof: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_100
You'll notice that number one is the prophet Mohammed PBUH.

Feel free to discuss, but please, I don't intend to open any fights.

Thank you for your time :) and God bless you all!

    Thank you divib =)

Britt, the problem with those people isn't that they're enforcing, there's just hatred in the atmosphere once the 'Muslim' or 'Islam' words are said.
Lets just hope one day everyone will understand everything.
Thanks Britt :) and feel free to ask if you want.

I think those that take issue with organized religion know that most organizations are somewhat powerful. It is a sad that few associate religion with peace and tolerance because of human agenda. I don't think Muhammed or Jesus would be pleased with the way many who claim to follow them are acting.

"I've been plenty of episodes on SP with Jesus. And politicians, and making fun of children with autism, mental retardation, all kinds of things. South Park is just classless and crass in every thing they do."
    ^
Exactly yeah, I didn't know the plot of South Park before, and I've never been interested, but after all they're making fun of everything and everyone..The answer should be more like "Silence is the best answer for fools".

"As a Christian I have run into a lot of debates where people tell me I need to be more tolerant, more tolerant, more tolerant. I'd say I'm pretty damn tolerant at this point. I understand not everyone thinks, act, walks and talks like me. But the people in the "diverse" groups aren't necessarily tolerant over anything either "
    ^
People see it from their own perspective, and I truly hate when someone is oh-so-self-righteous when in fact it's actually all about open-mindedness.
I understand what you're saying because most of us have been through this, and those people exist everywhere.

"those same various religions that utter such rethoric can't stand one another and will tell you that if you don't follow our doctrine then you are an infidel, heathen and surely will perish in hell"
    ^
It's about following with words or with actions. Those who believe in the prophets' words but do nothing are simply followers only outwardly, or prima facie. Not exactly what one would call true believers.

"and those who follow Jesus loathe the Prophet Muhammed, and those who follow Muhammed loathe Jesus and his followers"
    ^
Mohammed's and Jesus's true followers are the ones who believe in both, I'm a Muslim and I believe in Jesus, and if I were Christian I would also believe in Mohammed, so it's all about following the wrong way. We're misled.
