please keep the family of this young girl in your thoughts/prayers. even the family of the young man who commited this heartless crime.

I've lived here all my life and never heard of something as tragic as this in this city.

he WILL get justice for taking the life of this innocent girl.

    may she rest in peace.

What shocks me most is that I've seen this guy around my job and stuff.
no one would ever think that ANYONE could be capable of doing something so sick

    It really is.

what's worse is that even though he confessed to everything his family still says he's innocent.
I mean, sure its his mother. his father, his brothers or sisters but what he did is unforgivable.

Wow that sickened me so much, I couldn't even finish reading the whole article. What a sick minded guy...

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, "I will take revenge; I will pay them back," says the LORD.

In my opinion it is heathier even if we find it hard to remember the sick souls in our prayers not to focus on anger, while we pray and think.

    Hey Liz:)

So sorry to read that this happened...although it is just an example of how sick our society has become. Many youngsters have a distorted vision on life due to the net and what they see on programs as MTV and such. Women are presented as objects of lust and due to everyone being so busy earing money, they have fewer adults around teaching them the true values of life.

I agree we should pray for all victims, because the family of this boy is just as victimised, of not more, as the family of the girl.

Revenge is an absurd action, if you do upon the other what he has done upon you, then you are doing the SAME thing, it is just the motivation that is different;)

This is a very shocking and extreme tragedy. To be honest I am not sure I could reach the level of "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do" if it were my sister. I do know that holding on to vengence does more damage to the victims than anyone.

    I agree with Michael.

we are only human and are quick to pass judgment.
our judgment on this young boy is an eye for an eye.

we can't pray for the girl, because there is nothing left for her.
just keep praying for those left behind.
and for that boy to come to the realization of what he has done.
only God can have mercy on him, as we cannot.

Justice is good and mercy is divine.... at least that's what doctor death must think.

    God bless Jack Kevorkian

Personally, death wouldn't be justice on him, that's just letting him off the hook easily.

His mercy is more amazing than His justice, but I would not test it. Conneticut will probably give the murderer a lethal dose of justice but not for the reason doctor death assist those in pain. I agree with the above post and when God extends mercy all will not accept it, some prefer not to be blest

Blessed are the merciful they shall recieve mercy I believe are His thoughts .

I believe every human being was created in the image and likeness of God and has an inviolable dignity value and worth . The most wounded victim and most calloused criminal retain their humanity. according to the ecclesiastical atutorities this dignity value a worth must be recognized promoted and safegaurded and defended.

I will keep him in my prayers and thoughts that he may come to love himself as his neighbor.

"I know I am off topic.. sorry..."

    ^^
No, you are not Alfred. Both things are based upon the same feeling, which is disrespect of life and in specific for the one who gave it to us. He, who in all honesty loves and respects God cannot take a life..life, all life is sacred and not be taken, not even in retribution..because killing a murderer is also murder.

I am sorry for you that you have to go through this, I know how hard it is to see a young person self destruct.

Alfred, you are not off topic.
I will also keep that young man in my prayers.

both young men have something in common, (even though one is a heartless murderer)..
they pretty much threw their whole entire lives out the window, so to speak.

I hope your friend's son is able to recover from this horrible tragedy.
