Ramdan is one of the most important months for all the muslims around the world..

While muslims fast, the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of hell are closed..and the devils are chained. Work your way out with welfare and love .PEOPle

so I wish ramadan kareem and mubarak for everybody :)

I wish all muslim members a blessed Ramadan time.

What do people from your country make for Sahrie and Iftar, Nana? I would also like to know what muslim people from other countries eat before sunrise and after sundown.

And also, how do you all feel about Ramadan being earlier each year? Is it not hard on people to fast during this heat?

For those who do not know: muslim people neither eat NOR drink between sunrise and sundown during Ramadan..even during extreme heat.

I CHERISH Ramadan..its just thirst thats hard.. but Ramadan has a special meaning..u have no idea how amazing the family gathering would be...much fun.. and how gd ppl r 2 each other esp to the pooor..Despite that u would go visit those who u have not for so long..believe me Ramadan which lass a month is as if a daily Christmas lol

Ramadan simply is to make u a better person..and to challenge ur desires ..and patience :) food is not restricted ...actually its during Ramadan that ea some sweets that u havent since so long :P

Lol, thanks Nana. I bet you ate well, and helped you mum prepare the special dishes:)

I know it is a special time and meant for the people to bond with each other, rich and poor, and for the mind to contemplate on all..not such a bad thing at all. I do worry though, about it being sooner in the year each time...going without water for so many hours is dangerous during ( extreme) heat and the days are so loooooong during this time of the year!

Ramadan kareem...I don't know about you guys, but I love watching the shows they bring during ramadan...My sister love a show called Bab el Hara... But other than that, you get to remember, what the other half of the population suffer through...And thanking Allah for blessing us with what he's given us.

Noir, I was just talking about that with someone else, don't you find the shows just a bit.. too much? I mean Egypt alone has 100+ which leaves people little else to do but stay glued to the tv. not to mention little else to talk about all day. of course it's not a bad thing if you watch a show or two. and some are very worth watching. but more than that? i don't think so. plus why do they.. er how do you say that? broadcast them all in Ramadan? that's beyond me. especially with some not all fit to be watched in such a month.

about Bab el hara, heard of it, but never watched it. what I'm watching is Cleopatra. that's the only thing. If Nadia el gindy was not the one playing Queen Nazli's role in ''a queen in exile''. i would've watched as well. I watched 2 episodes and that was it for me. but then I'm not much of tv fan anyway.

Ramadan Kareem to you as well!
