I love haikus! Simple and quaint. 5/7/5.

One haiku per poet. Please title it. Must be new.

Contest will close when 7 haikus have been submitted.
There will only be 1 winner! He or she will receive 3 detailed R/R/C's.

    ~My Frozen Demise~

    Ice cold fingers grasp
At my throat; waiting to watch
    Me wither and die.

    Butterfly
    -by Spirit

    Fly butterfly soar
    Throughout the growing forest
    Away from hatred

*It's not new but I posted it anyway. Just P.M. me and let me know if I need to change it.

Is Haiku Series okay for this contest or just a Haiku?

  • silvershoes

I would rather stick to three liners for this contest.
    And new poems.

It may take a while to reach the desired 7 haikus from 7 different poets, but there's something to be said for patience and principle.

    A Wind Full of Dreams

    A white bird dances.
    Cascading beauty, spreading

No worries, Joe & Britt! Thanks for participating.
That Would Be Telling, trust me, we've all done it (many times). It happens. It's really a great little poem, I loved the concept!
Jacob, no way are you out of your league. Definitely a great haiku. Can't wait to read more of your work.

For now I'm going to bed, gang. Will RRC tomorrow.
