    tEyS:

That is not the point I'm making, and you know it. However...

The money that the curch DOES recieve (through tithes and donations and such) goes into these things:

Helping the widows in the church
Giving money to the financially depressed
    Expanding the building
Replacing old items/buying more advanced equipment

And very, VERY little, is actually given to the pastors for their hard work (believe me, the pastors do a lot more than you may think they do.)

Anyway, I would write a lot more, but I'm pressed for time.

teys- (backing up what lipton said) My dad was a pastor for many years i can tell you better than most people that the pastor and his family sacrifice alot.

I would write more, but I'm leaving to see my grandma in the hospital.

The money also goes into buying mass amounts of real estate all over the world, of which it does not pay taxes for by the way, and for buying more "artifacts," of which the church already owns billions of dollars worth. The money also goes into the upkeep for the 7 miles of secret library, which actually is a lot of upkeep considering they have special lighting and technology to keep the thousands of year old documents from getting worn (that is the historical documents that they havent destroyed throughout the years already).

    etc. etc.
