13 years agoYou should check out some of the new threads happening in the Poetry Discussion forums. There are 2 poets (one famous and one from P&Q) highlighted every week, and they get some good discussion. I'd encourage you to start a new thread talking about some of your poetry expertise - we're in need of some literary discussion. Also, in the Member's Message forum, there is a site-wide poetry contest just revving up, organized by Brilliant aka Sunshine. Valedico's just got over today, but there was a new challenge every week and about 17 people involved. That forum generally has several threads running at one time, if you're actually interested in poetry or more general discussions. The site in general has been MUCH more active in the past few months than it has been for about two years. Just some information so you know.

13 years agoI love how I state that its dead someone says something, otherwise its nothing xD. Either way I've been thinking about quitting. A site without proper administration can only live so long and the current owners don't exactly, well exist here anymore o-o. I still need to contact them to try and get the hosting rights and take over hosting costs and what not.

Well that's the thing, it's not nothing. You just happen to be in one of the least active forums on the site. There's lots of stuff, poetry and otherwise, happening in other areas. I agree though, you'd probably have better luck starting your own site than you would of contacting the admins. I've heard whispers that they're actually just myths used to scare young teenagers. -

13 years agoBecause asking people to switch over to a new site under management they don't know is chaotic and I doubt many of the long time people here would be willing to switch.
Its not just this section of forums, I've look at others too and some of the clubs as well. Sooooo many inactive uses and dead threads and dead clubs. It should all just be deleted to make room for new things. -

13 years agoThats the problem, if the owners were actually here it'd be erasable. Being active now compared to the years Ive been here doesnt matter a whole lot. Its just a tiny spur of activity in a small time compared to the inactivity of years. Theres not a site for poetry that has what im looking for since most are inactive but at least the owners are actually involved. I'm still debating plans for a new site but like I said on the other forum, its not really a needed thing right now untill I see more complaints really. And it would have no open affiliation with this site because of the lack of ownership here. Its kinda sad they couldn't at least pass it on to their top moderators.
And with the clubs, I would make my own since I have the stats for a senior member but as I reported a long time ago it doesn't register me as one and the moderators don't have the ability to fix a glitch like that.
