Hey Mods! Tell us about your latest disagreement in running the site. What was it about and how was it dealt with? Who has the ideas? Who plays devil's advocate? Who is the peacekeeper? And don't tell me "everyone". If it is indeed "everyone" then make something up cos otherwise it's boring.

Well, aren't you all just a pack of rosy-cheeked, freckle-faced, pinafore-wearing, boarding school students in an Enid Blyton novel. Let me get out my ginger beer and tongue sandwiches and we can go for a ramble in the woods together with our dog, Blackie.

Britt is obviously forgetting the time we nearly came to blows because the hussy was trying to steal my man (Kevin). Swords were getting drawn, Jane was trying to argue rationally over the din of our curses, and we were only stopped by Italian Stallion, who flung himself to his knees between us. He was weeping ardently, and clutching a dozen violet stems in his hand. "I just can't bear to see the anger, it falls on me like a bruise," he whispered.

What could we say to such docile, innocent, sweet pleading?

Bob's right. Kevin may have felt the need to sow his wild oats in other poetic pastures... but he's always gonna have that "I Love The Club" heart tattoo stamped on his left buttocks. I thought he should play it safe and just go with "Sibby," but noooo.

That tattoo was getting him clubbed by well-intentioned samaritans and sexual deviants every weekend. No wonder he finally had to leave.

QUESTION: Do you mods like us members using threads other than there intended subject? :]

Personally, I don't mind it in most threads. This particular thread, for example, is a place for people to chat with the mods and ask whatever questions they have. It should be an open platform. The idea that a post that makes a natural deviation from the originally stated topic is "spam" is pretty ridiculous.

What I DON'T like is when people start a thread to try to have open communication or serious brainstorming for the betterment of the site, and people devolve into petty bickering. That's when it gets annoying. Even then, arguing isn't against the rules, it can just be very annoying when the point of a thread is some logical discussion and people pop in with garbage. We've all seen how easily that escalates. Poets are passionate types.

Cool so can I talk about waffles in this thread then? :P

I left the club because I felt it has some of the best most active and intelligent members on this website, and we were all boxed up in the club and didn't really have much of a need to step outside.

Not that since leaving I've been the life and soul of P and Q, but clearly the kinds of discussions I like to have don't sell to well here, or I have to listen to the same rebounds post wiki links in place of real answers.

Still, I do think about the THE CLUB on occasion, sort of like an ex I suppose.
