Well the voters didn't notice either, except one, apparently. He might have miscounted. (lets have his head for it?)

Just because no one noticed a rule was broken, doesn't mean that it's ok and it should pass, it was broken nonetheless.

I think we have to agree to disagree and leave this indeed for Danny to answer.

I can't read minds and say whether or not Danny meant the same rule (though I am sure if he did he is capable of wording it) and I certainly can't tell if poet #1 was in the last round or not. although still I think he should have read the rules carefully.

anyway, I see no problem with allowing both poets join the next round and if there is any problem with the number needed we can have an extra poem eliminated. but that's just my opinion. It's up to Danny to decide.

I liked the poem about the old fart in an empty house getting excited by drunk squealing kids, but the author should not give up his day job just yet, based on the enthusiasm of the fans here

However he should go on to the next round, for sure, in my opinion

"The aim of this round is to test your abilities to confine your expressions and edit down ideas into something small, bitesized and memorable. Size matters, right? "

I have read that a lot of writers feel like the editors butcher the meat of what they are expressing

I seems if the editors do not the readers will

We can learn a lot from these contest if we keep our sense of humor

I said under 75 words aha, I've already pointed out and apologised for making a mistake in counting words. Jeeez. Plus, Nor changed her mind so if we are to recount; I don't see why her re-vote should not count. :S

Originally, if you read my post in the PART 2 bit I was going to judge this myself but I thought it'd be fairer to let you guys decide. I've been as fair as I can and I deducted whether or NOT poem 1 was disqualified, it wouldn't have won on votes anyway. I don't see how this is unfair.

I thought we agreed to drop this. It's just getting annoying now if I'm honest!

I have to agree with Danny and Nor here. Disqualifying the poem after allowing it may seem odd, but it's nothing anyone should get their panties in a twist about, especially since with Nor's vote (which I also think should be counted... nowhere on PnQ does it say you're cemented by your vote!), poem #3 won fairly.
Asking the members to vote was inevitably going to cause disagreement.
If you want to avoid the drama, Danny, accept both poets for round 2... or stick to your resolve. I think either is understandable. You are the judge and this is your contest. We should all be thankful and grateful to you for putting your personal time in to hold this.

Remember guys, this is supposed to be fun. Strictly fun and inspirational for writers to write! There's no life and death matter here so sit back and relaxxxx.
