How to you go about picking a title for your poem. For example I thought my poem "I waited..." needed a new one but I wasnt so sure. I dont want my titles to be bland and shallow but I dont wanted them to give away what the poem is about but at the same time I dont want my titles to be so abstract that people wont read it. Ahh!, its a touchy subject. What do you do? |

I usually pick a single word, maybe a phrase that defines the poem's meaning so the reader knows the underlying message (if there is one). |

Try writing the poems before you pick a title, that's what I usually do unless I'm given a specific topic. |

I usually make the title after I write a poem, too. |
