Contest Judges

Well, it is that time again to swap out weekly contest judges. The time has went so fast and our panel of judges put in a lot of time and hard work so I want to take a moment and thank each of them.

What a wonderful job you each done. I, personally, thank you as well as Britt for all the hard work and dedication that was put forth.

Britt was the one who kept the contest organized and always on her toes when it came to making sure everything was ready. She is a trooper and we thank her as well.

But in all seriousness it was great. This site is overflowing with talent. The quantity and quality of poems nominated each week was very impressive and made the job a hard one but one that I will never forget.

Congrats to ever poet out there because without you ... there would be no weekly win.

I'm very glad to see the names out not that I'm not shocked as well because a few of you I won't have guessed at all.

I know some of you didn't agree with me on some of the wins or should be wins but that doesn't deny the fact that ''most'' of you did great job with the comments and picks, didn't hold it against me when I was nominated and didn't ask for my head on a plater when I suggested having names revealed, adding comments to the wins and of course when I questioned the picks.

so thanks to you all again and Britt too for being the messenger between us and the one responsible for the contest for a long time.

just a curious question, which one of you I got his/her tone wrong and answered rather rudely before they explained to me what they meant and I apologized?

It would help to know what you are referring to, seeing as I always spoke directly, apart from the very last time judging and Hellon asked why I voted a certain way, this could not have been about me. If anything, I am a very straighforward person. I don't like being acccused of things I don't even have a clue about. I have been a judge all six months, like I already stated earlier in this thread.

Also: one judge's identity is NOT revealed in this thread, just so you know.

and finally: why is this thread, meant to thank people (also me!), being abused to create yet another drama?

I meant no drama, I was just curious. I think we all have the right to know who were we addressing since everything is being revealed. but it seems it's not everything yet.

I spoke directly to you, not through Britt, seeing as my identity was already known, so no, it was not me.

I have read the entire thread again and a lot of people were very angry at you that day, does tell you something, doesn't it?

And I have no clue why one identity was kept secret, probably will get me into trouble again, being this honest.

A lot of people are usually angry at me, Ingrid. yes, it tells me a lot of things. for one, people don't like being questioned or criticized and take everything as an attack.

It never stopped me from saying what I think though.

I am alive and no they didn't forget about me, it was my wish that my identity not to be revealed, but obviously the wind blows against the wish of the ship..so

I was just surprised that it wasn't mentioned that one judge is missing and just your luck, you had to be the judge I was dying to know!

PS: it's just that judging is not easy and you will never satisfy everyone, and I hate to go through such situations where you are under certain spot lights, but I loved the job and I dedicated my time for it..
plus some mods know very well..I gave the longest comments :P so yaaaa I am welcome LOL

I miss this with all of the crap that has been on the main boards.

Thank you judges, I think you have done a great job, you all copped a lot of slack but you managed to pick some great poems week after week. I thought I knew who some of you were from your comments each week, others I didn't pick.

Well done, you deserve it!
