Okay, this was a pretty old thread from a couple of years back so it can't be commented on anymore so thought I'd copy it and start again and see what everyones opinions are:) I also wasn't sure what to categorise it under =? so "other will have to do ^^,

Today we are here to decide which is the strongest mystical being, dragons, pixies, hydro serpants, vampires etc add what you think is the strongest mystical being

Oh I am going to like this thread.... (:
I'm totally into the whole "Mystical Creatures" thing (:

I go with...well...all of them are strong...hmm....I'll go with PIXIES because they have magic!!!! (:
They can cast spells on stuff to protect them and since they are so small, they can hide in places (:

Angels are the strongest Mystical Beings.
Humans just a little lower than the Angels.
    Psalms 8:5
    Hebrews 2:7

    Medusa.

    End of discussion.

Lol, Kevin! Medussa isn't dangerous as long as you don't look her in the eyes!! (:

Kevin, have you seen the sheer number of times Medusa has been hacked to bits by various plastic sword yielding movie stars? I think no.
    It's a toss up.
    Aliens vs. Jackalopes.
Because danger and capability are subject to the power of suggestion, and both hold convincing arguments.

Edit: I just saw an empty water bottle move on the other side of my room, and jump around as I may, it's not doing it again.
Ghosts? Or maybe still power of suggestion... and too much TAPS.

Yeah:) i agree with all of you.
i think that each creature/ being (whatever you want to call them) has their own positives and negatives.

i just love fantasy and mystical creatures in general so when i saw a thread about their powers in one of my olod favorites from a few years ago i thought I'd open it up again for discussion:)

^^ I love watching shows like Ghost Hunters or Destination Truth or even the movies like Paranormal Activity and The Fourth Kind. Don't know why, because I don't believe in aliens or ghosts. However, when I watch Ghost Hunters or the Paranormal Activity I get the heebie jeebies, especially when it's night and I'm in bed. My house makes too much noise at night, haha.

Santa Claus... He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake. Blah, blah. How creepy is that? Haha. But seriously, I would say The Almighty Zeus (since Kevin mentioned Medusa and I now have Clash of the Titans on the brain, haha). But then again, how strong can he really be if no one believes?

What gave paranormal activity away for me was the "alternate ending" if that was the "real" footage then what's up with an alternate ending. Ha ha but the fourth kind!! Oooooooh my, if I EVER wake up at around 3am and see an owl I will literally die. You should check out the movies "the dead girl" and "let me in" they both pretty low budget but are seriously soooooooooo good!!

Ah clash of the titans <3 love love love it!! Do you watch supernatural? I love that show:):)

Ah, you all misunderstand, I meant Medusa's head, not the beast herself. I'd have her head in a bag, and no idiot demi god would be sneaking up on me using a shield.

I'd kick him in the nuts and then slap his face with her head....he'd be stoney in seconds.

Pshaw. I love Supernatural. I quite like how it integrates all the different creatures and religions... very logical... sorta.

That's all very good, Kevles. But I think I'd get curious eventually... It's not good to keep something under wraps like that.

Or maybe I'd want a lifesize statue of myself for my mansion and forget about the whole death thing long enough to make one.

I'd have to see a full body shot of you Narph, to decide whether or not turning you into stone for all eternity would be worth not having you in the flesh.

Right now, based on that one eye and section of cheek...it's looking promising.

I never believed the Paranormal Activities were ever "real" footage or based on "real events", blah, blah. I was actually very much against seeing it but gave into it. The first one I watched was online and the ending was the police finding her. The second time was on tv and it ended with them saying that she was never seen again or something alone those lines. I had to laugh. Real footage based on real events my butt. If that were true there wouldn't be an alternate ending. Some of my friends still like to argue that it is real. I never heard of The Dead Girl before but I have heard of Let Me In, but I'm not much of a horror or thriller buff anymore as I use to be, haha. There are a few exceptions.

I love watching Supernatural too, last weeks episode was hilarious. That is, I managed to catch that one. I haven't watched much of this season. I'm going to wait till the box set comes out for this season.

Apparently my demi god is no match for Kevin. I'll have to think of something else, lol.

    Aliens vs Jackalopes.
We have those creatures here in N.Mex., I've seen several and did bag one in 1979, I was only 15 but my aim was straight. It made all the local papers, Daddy cooked it like stew, and mmmmm, it was good. Not the Alien silly, the Jackalope! It was only a 4 pointer, I have seen bigger, they are twice as fast as a regular Jackrabbit, having been bred with the very fast Antelope.

Ha ha back to the paranormal activity topic- so many people gave me mixed opinions. some would say it was SO scary and that i have to watch it because its the "original footage" then others were like FAKE FAKE FAKE!! so i watched it and the "alternative ending" was just what really ruined it for me. a movie that realy freaked me out though was the exorcism of emily rose. OOOOOOOH MY!!

  • H. Elizabeth

Oh my goodness! 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose' is so BORING!!!!!! I was watching it hoping to get scared...and NOTHING. Lol, as I've told you before Big Twin (Shellaine) I don't scare easy ;-)

Sure, the 'Emily Rose' deal was based on a true story, but I didn't believe on bit, lol.

Ha ha i know little twin:) i just get so scared when it comes to things like that. and then when i researched it. it was a couple of years back, i don't remember her actual name but it wasn't emily rose but still =P whenever i hear noises in the night (most of the time its just my cats) but i still get a bit scared :)

  • H. Elizabeth

Lol, I'm accustomed to that because I live in a 100 year old house and hear noises all the time, lol.
But I have to give credit to my older brothers, their friends, and my dad, lol. They scared my when I was little, so now I'm used to it, lol.
At school my friends always try to scare me, lol. Now THAT'S a sight to see, lol. They jump out screaming at me and I just say "You're just making yourself look stupid. I'm not scard. I have older brothers"
And once, my friends ran out of the cafeteria without me. When I walked out, they jumped out from behind a wall and screamed. I just laughed. Then before I could speak my friends said "We just made fools of ourselves. Hannah never gets scared"
    Lol(:
So everyone always tries to scare me...but it'll never work!!! Ahahahaha!!!
    (:

    OH!
Wizards are very powerful mystical beings.
I say tihs because I'm a GIGANTIC supporter of the "Harry Potter" series.
    (:

Ha ha ha i also grew up with older brothers but hmm exorcisms and stuff scare me:) I must watch the first poltergeist by the way, because the second one really was terrible =P people said it was so hardcore blah blah, i watched it and was like really?!?!? this is like the never ending story.

but eeeek, the exorcism of emily rose scares me whenever i watch it:) but you are very brave my little twin:) and that sounds hilarious with everyone always tring to scare you.

ooooh yes!! i fully agree with you on that one. i am too keen for the second part of the deathly hallows to come out. i think you'll really love the warriors way:)
