    ^^ I've never read the book The Lovely Bones, but I did watch the movie and absolutely loved it. I would like to read the book as well and compare the two.

    I love to read, I'm a book worm. I've loved to read since I was a kid. My favorite type of books are non-ficiton but I do like fiction as well, especially when despite the book is fiction it has elements that relate to every day or true situations. For example: Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult deals with the sexual-abuse of a child. Though the story itself and characters are made up, child abuse in any form is very much so real. The genre of books you could say I enjoy are historical, true crime, tragedy (?) and other similar types. It really depends on the book.

    If I had to pick one, it would be Mercy by Jodi Picoult that is my all time favorite book. Now that I think about it, it's been my favorite book four years running! Some of my other favorite books/plays:

    -The Secret Lives of Sgt. John Wilson by Louis Simmie
    -Devil Among Us by Mike McIntyre
    -Monkey Beach by Eden Robinson
    -Educating Rita by Willy Russel (play)
    -The Afterlife of George Cartwright by John Steffler
    -"Perfect Match" and "House Rules" by Jodi Picoult;
    -"Hamlet", "Macbeth", "The Tempest", "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare (plays)
    -"A Child Called It" and "The Lost Boy" by Dave Pelzer
    -The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer

    Just to name a few.

    Ooh, little twin i am keen to check out "dead is the new black" since we like pretty much all the same stuff I'm sure I'd enjoy that:)

    and Elizabeth,the book is amazing!! i read the book when i was about 13 or so and then watched the movie when i turned 20. and it was amazing!! you know often when they turn a book into a movie they really don't do the book any justice, they leave out parts, make up parts etc... but both the movie and the book exceeded my expectations and if you enjoyed the movie you'll definitely love the book:)

    i also really liked fight club. i haven't seen the movie yet but i really enjoyed the book. oh!! and "washed by blood"- brian "head welch- former lead guitarist for korn:) theres a lot more but i love those:) OH and this i don't know if any of you have seen the Kurt Cobain graphic novel but i LOVE it:)
