Bob: "He talks of his strong religious beliefs, he has signed more death warrants than any man in history"

Dude, seriously? Really? Come on Bob...

    "Absolutely nothing justifies war."

Religion, war and people dying go hand in hand, always has and always will. There are plenty of justifications war.

Bush is not perfect, but it's about as good as it's going to get for a while. And compared to Kerry, well, I breathed a nice deep relaxing sigh of relief when he got voted back in.

Besides, the only real issues that affect people in America aside from military and their families are those choices that put food on the table. The cost of living in the US of A is just about second to none, so think yourselves lucky. I'd live in George W. Bush's US of A in a drop of a hat.

All you lovely Democrats can celebrate next time around when Hiliary gets voted in. Then we'll see just how much you liked it now.

  • Bret Higgins

Bob, it was only about the death warrants. I thought that was a little harsh coming from you, but then I still don't really know anyone here yet.

I will breathe the same sigh of relief, that's to be sure. I'm a British conservative(republican) and the conservative leader, Michael Howard, is just as bad as Bush. But I'd still prefer him over Blair.

I would have been happier with Wesley Clarke as some real oppostion to Bush. That would have been interesting.

    Respect,
    Bert.

if oyu dont like our president and our country, get the he** out.
sry to be like this but my god people, this was goning to happen at one time or another, not his fault that he happened to be the only one with enough guts to do what needed to be done. There was no way to not go to war, if we hadn't then we all could be dead right now and none of ytou would be argueing over this. be happy your alive and if your not deal with it. i may not agree with some of the things hes done, like the gay law, but the war could not be stopped, we either attacked on their ground or waited for them to come kill us all.
sry if this is mean but my OPINION,
    PK

THANK YOU! god, Bush is what this country needs, some one how is gonna do what he thinks is right for us, and not care about the people dont see that. and we did a great thing with Iraqu(spelling is not worth ne thing) and so what if we didnt find what we thoughjt we were going to? and if we get bombed then so be it, we have had to deal with worse then this, and i for one am very comfortable with our millitary, i know that the ppl in there will lay down their lives for us at ne given time, The usa has a great millitary, always has, ppl gave their lives for us in all our other wars, civil, Veitnam, all of them. USA is doing the right thing, wish you guys could see that.

SUV's (the huge fuck off 4x4 bastards that are slowly invading our country) are the ever increasing backbone of the US vehicle economy and therefore the fuel trade and therefore the oil industry, which is Bush's proverbial back yard.

So it makes sense for him to ignore the Kyoto treaty for the sake of the American economy and Bush's back pocket.

"not a clue. Why don't you ask yours?

my mother doesn't even own a car."

I would ask mine but she doesn't drive either. I would ask yours but I lost your number.

    (Ho ho!)

On the serious side, the Kyoto treaty does need some serious investion from our cousins across the pond.

I do not, personally, approve of the things Bush has done. He has done no more to help us as to harm us. But whoever said that they think America should be blown up, and their class agreed on it, that's like saying, "We hate Sadam, so lets go kill his people." Yah, we do hate Sadam, but innocent people are another story. Even though Bush is a bad president, not all of them are bad! What about Roosevelt? What about Lincoln? What about all of those great American heroes that saved us from many horrible times and ultimately led us to be the Superpower that we are? There are bad people in this world, but it does not mean that EVERYONE is bad. There is still some good in the bad, and innocence is innocence.

That's my theory. I was frustrated with this years selection of presidential candidates that I, underaged as I am, convinced my mother to vote for Nadar. It was quite funny because Kerry scared the crap out of me, like so kind of molesting priest kind of person out of the movie Scream, and Bush, I don't want to even get started on Bush.

So, there you are on my theory. I do have to admit, i was insulted on many parts of this thread. There are reasons for war, like justice, liberty, and freedom. Religious reasons are ridiculus to me and absolutely proposterous. If you were so religous, wouldn't you try to find a more diplomatic way of solving a problem than resorting to bloodshed to ease your anger from another man's ignorance of your religion? Well, I do find that a bit odd for our day and age. No insults intended though.

Bob, we do have reasons for war. Antagonists aren't always appreciated, but we all learn from our mistakes, and sometimes our enemies. So, therefore, I conclude, that our history is what makes us what some of us are. I am American and proud of it. But by saying I'm proud to be American, and I"m proud of our history, do not misinterpret me and think that I am proud that we enslaved black men, women, and children. Do not misinterpret this into believing that I am proud that the KKK ever started, or even that there is still prejudism in our country. Every country has a problem, no one's perfect.

    American!!!

If you want proof on that whole, "No country is perfect" thing, I may be able to provide you with a little bit of disturbing things in your countries history. Don't take that offensively, either, I am saying this just for the purpose of demonstrating my point if need be.

God, I do love my vocobulary, and if there is one thing I'm proud about, other than my heritage, it's my vocobulary and persuasive skills.

Thank you shy, I do like to think I am right on my perspective right now on the war, but I'm still unbiased if you want to hand me a situation, or prove something to me, I'll consider your position.

I think I would make a good political leader someday, it's just too bad that it's not my field of interest. Politics get me just a bit too frustrated some times.
