Writing Poetry as an Auditory Process
Auditory (adjective):
1. of or relating to the process of hearing
2. an assembly of hearers; audience
I believe that writing poetry should have an auditory element, that when you are writing a poem you should think about what you would like it to sound like, be like, when being read (its rhythm, flow, and such). I believe you should hear a your poem in your head when writing - pay attention to see if what you're writing sounds like what you want to say and how it would be best said. I believe that you should pay attention to how your poem would play to your audience and how you want it to play to your audience. You should always picture what your poems sound like (would sound like) or read it and see if you're happy with its rhythm, flow, and how it presents when read!!!
