Route one (always the direct route): Do it, have a fling, keep it quiet and cherish that forever.

Route two: Do nothing, he'll be the one that never was. He'll remain special forever.

There is a route three but I'm a firm believer in the inevitable failure of long distance relationships so I won't even go there.
