Happy Mothers Day

I would just like to say thank you to all the mothers who have given their time and life for their children. I am so grateful for those who have loved their children unconditionally. :') No words I will ever say will show my gratitude for you all but I hope you all have a great day today!!! :)

And I would just like to thank my grandma who has raised me since my mon left me. :) She has been a mother to me and I'm so thankful for her! :)

Mother's Day. I can't think of a more stressful day for myself. I always go over-the-top on this day as I feel so inadequate as a daughter on others. My mother refuses to acknowlege my hopeful pleas that it's just a commercial thing, and looks forward to this day each year with ever-rising expectations.

I spent the entire previous day making an enormous picnic banquet, left a party early so I could sleep over at her house and wake her up with breakfast, searched tirelessly for the perfect present, spent much, made a gorgeous 3D card, researched picnic venues with lovely autumn colours, drove her there, it rained the whole time, came home, had picnic in front of the fireplace, played Cluedo well into the night (I let her win once), washed all the dishes, and made the 1.5 hour trip back to my house.

I'm still shaking with exhaustion, but hopefully I've topped up my good-daughter status for the year. Happy Mother's Day.
