Weekly Contest Discussion cont'd

I agree with the personal aspects to poetry. And some people just like to 'build up' to finally submitting for the weekly contest.

Now the con to this system is some people may not notice it. So it would almost have to be a 'yes' or 'no' question (where the person is required to select one or the other and the default selection is 'none') if they don't select yes or no, they get a error with a red message saying they need to select one or the other.

It could be without a default, right? The way now it shows you must check a box stating it is your work. It could have another one with it stating something regarding the weekly. I don't know how hard that would be to do, but I love the idea.

    Thanks Sher :)

Radio's I'm unsure if you can do the default as nothing. Hmm.. Maybe a drop down yes or no with 'blank' being the default?

Joe! I know you're on. Could that be an option?

You can do a check box system or a simple radio function, either way would work fine, but I think using radio buttons would be best.

Yeah that's what I thought as well. It's been a while since I've coded a form so I wasn't sure if the default could be with both unselected.

Using a radio you can't leave the default as nothing. But if you use a check box system you can unless you code it were you have to select one.

See what I was thinking is people may want to have it submitted and my just not read that bit about submitting it. You'd almost want it so that nothing is selected so that if they forget about it they are reminded to choose one or the other.

Exactly; therefore, the best bet would be to use a radio with an error message if you hit submit and don't select one.

    Pesky little fly? Rug rat?

You both would do well to ignore each other in the future if you can't play nice. Consider this a warning.

No need to apologize and I don't care who started it, just cut it out.
    Thank you kindly, ladies :)

I'll show you who's a rug rat Bob. You done lacing those skates up yet? You and Paul will be holding onto the boards while I skate the rink.

Yes of course I'm coming down. You need to let me know when is a good time for you and your family. I'd even entertain doing a family shoot of your Bike Club :) Entirely up to you. Shoot me a note when good dates are for you and I'll check mine to see where we have a match :D

Poetess STOP with the insults. I'm 25 I don't have grandsons to feed (as you told me to do in a PM). Actually I don't have kids right now period. So Stop PMing me and threatening me that you will "really" insult me. You can't so just give up this petty shit!

Jane or other Mods please take care of this before I really unhinge. A warning has been given. I will not continue to tolerate what is being thrown at me both on here and in the PM's. I have tried to let it go even IGNORED her yet she still has to throw in an insult. If she won't stop I will give her the biggest tongue lashing of the century.
