Alice In Fearland

I fear my own fingers
that fiddle my heart
the way people desire.

My own lust flickering
at the coldest of touches
and at the simpliest of words.

Myself that is fickle,
disappointing like time
and reckless like a hasty billow.

I fear flapping the wings
above my conventional sky
and trending seaward or
diving beneath unfathomable
depths

I fear to tint my life
feigning to be rejoiced
at these ashen shades.

-For I am aware with
my imperfections
(along with my unability
to be perfect.)

You deem I'm cowardly
due to yore,
but in reality, my problem is
dreading of what futurity
may fetch.

I fear the childbirth
of a new sol
amidst my blues
and some gentle
cheepings of a blackbird
when the only existence
is the frosty moonlight.

I fear craving a crave
that lurks for me
upon someones chest
or at their doorsill.

Hence, I ridicule myself
with funereal fibs.
