And that's it, folks. If we want to have a rule discussion, or whatever, we'll have it in another thread.

I'll copy Bob's first post over here in a sec.

    Question for everyone:

What would you bring to the BBQ? Whether or not you're going. Brainstorm. Ready.... GO.

I think I'm gonna go for a hypothetical dessert. Either cream-cheese-filled chocolate muffins from scratch, or Raspberry Crumble Bars Both have gone over well recently.

Additional question: do other states/countries call them "bars?" Apparently that's kind of a Midwest thing.

    We call them bars, Sib!

I don't know what else you'd call them! But I have heard that before...

I would bring one of these italian dishes:

A Plenta Lasagna w/Beef and Ricotta Cheese

Linguine with Meatballs and homemade gravy.

    Braciole

    my all time fav:
Veal Saltimbocca (This is what I'd probably bring)

Paul does make a mean pulled pork. The nice thing is we both love to cook so we never go places empty handed. Always have to bring food and a bottle of wine. :)

Mmmm, saltimbocca. I've had a chicken version before, but never veal.

I think my "homemaking" hormones are finally starting to be expressed, so this is exciting.

    What is saltimbocca???

Sibs I must try the chicken. I'm just always drawn to the tender taste of the veal. I will certainly give it a shot. :)

Britt saltimbocca is fricken amazing! I make it with Veal, topped with fresh mozzarella, a fesh sage leaf and procutto, along with other seasonings then a skewer stick to make sure it all stays in place. You sandwich the sage leave, and mozzarella with the prosciutto and veal. Skewer so it all stays in one place when on a pan. It seriously melts in your mouth.

Some use other spices and bacon in substitution but the Prosciutto is simply divine. It adds so much flavor to the dish that I feel bacon doesn't.

An easy to make fav of mine also is Asparagus wrapped in Prosciutto. Put on the grill with whatever your making. I'll often do that when I'm making peach stuffed chicken. Adds a bit of variety in taste when it matches up agains the 'fruit' taste of the chicken. (However lets be honest everything tastes good wrapped in Prosciutto lol)

    Here is my recipe:
    Apri-Pine-Hab-Jack Pork Ribs
1 large jar of apricot preserves,
small can of Dole's pineapple juice,
    with a fork, mash the preserves & juice in a medium bowl; heat for 1 minute in the microwave, mix well;
    add habanero sauce to taste
& then add a jigger of Jack Daniels.
marinade the ribs in half of the mix for 3 to 4 hours & then use the other half to glaze them while grilling
