Yes it's an I smiled today because thread. Awww groans and grumbles :( suck it up buttercups
If you don't want to smile then go frown somewhere and ignore the smiles :) or you could reach inside your pocket and pull out a frickin smile ... trust me it won't kill ya. So please share your smiles

Anyway I smiled today because ... my little guy is so excited to go camping tomorrow. He had giggles and smiles from ear lobe to ear lobe when I told him where we were going on the weekend. He is only 11 and loves fishing. If I could bottle his smile and keep it forever I would. Precious are the little things that make a child's heart content.

I agree Lu, "Precious are the little things that make a child's heart content."

I smiled today because... my daughters cooked supper for us tonight since I am a little under the weather.

Whoa, Britt! Was there some proposal action going on recently, or is that in the works still? Either way, super exciting!

Apart from that ^ I smiled today because my Roma tomatoes are growing, and they are a funny shape. I'm pretty easily amused.

    Woooo, Britt! Congrats.

I smiled today because it was just so gosh darn gorgeous and warm out, so I went out in the yard barefoot to chase my little brother around.

Congrats Britt! Hawaii, of all places!!

I smiled today because when I woke up and looked in the mirror I realized I don't look half bad for someone who's been around for almost half a century:)

Bahahaha, Donald. Slightly insulting, but damned witty and totally acceptable because we all know that Ingrid's hot, so it's worth it.

I smiled today because a little girl called Harriet told me a story about dragons living far, far away.

And again when I showed some museum folk a piece of fossilised dinosaur poo, and one man said "Boy, that animal must have been really constipated!"

And when I came home, my boy did a naked willy dance, silly, enchanting and free.

COngrats Britt! Didn't know you were engaged. When did it happen?

Not technically engaged... we plan to elope (in a sense, were not telling our family until we get home, but he said I could tell PnQ haha). We plan to whisk off into the sunset alone, no drama from big families until we get back from a week of paradise lol

  • Liquid Grace

Would his family agree with that? I know for you, you don't mind your family not being there. Be prepared for some people to be hurt. Perhaps even on his side in not being able to be there to watch their son/relative get married. A huge reason why we never went some where private as we personally felt our family deserved to see us wed.

Goodluck with that, I can only imagine what kind of drama that would add if you already put up with their drama. Yuck yuck yuck. Enjoy Hawaii :D

I'm seriously freaked out about it and told him a zillion times that we can't do this, his family would be so mad. He said he already had a wedding done for them, their way, and look how well that worked (lol). He promised me he will take care of them and let them know this isn't me stealing him away and not including them, that it's his idea 100% (it was, I said let's invite them, he said if thats what I REALLY want, okay, but if I'm doing it so they won't be upset, then no).

    Lol, Abby<3

Donald obviously needs a pair of glasses, lmao.

Britt: go for what your heart is telling you, hun. It is supposed to be your moment, an no one else's;)

I wish you the best, the most romantic and unforgettable wedding day imaginable:)

  • Liquid Grace

Ahh so he's been married. Go for it :) Usually with 'first' weddings parents get touchy and can remain that way for a long time.

But if he's already 'been there, done that' for sure, if it's what both of you want it'll be nice.

  • Britt

Yep, been there, done that, knows how much it costs. Plus, us going to Hawaii (thus getting the honeymoon in as well) will save us about four THOUSAND dollars. Isn't that amazing?

  • Liquid Grace

That's a good chunk of change. Enjoy I hear it's an amazing place to get married. I'm sure you'll just adore it :D

I smiled today reading Donald's post.

On a side note, I wouldn't mind being a frog pretty much if that means i'd get rain. I miss rain and I so miss winter.

  • The Queen

Lol, I'm smiling for the same reason as above. lol.

I miss winter and the rain, too. All we get here are massive sandstorms, just like yesterday, it was completely dark the entire day.

And then I smiled more, because I ordered two of them.

I smiled today, when I saw my photograph hanging in between all the other paintings and photographs at the office ( I was allowed to join in with one of my photographs in a three month- exposition along with the artists that work there)
