    Thirty seconds for change

Load me up, fill my crown,
if thoughts are true, weigh me down.
When I open, dont look back,
    follow through with mindfull track.

I am but one and two in a well,
you have passed my kin aswell.
We each rejoice as you unblock
a forgotten truth with little shock.

Now you search for more like me.
    Wondering, what else might be?
    Navigate your imagination,
    your ideas are illumination.

Then load us up, fill our crown,
if thoughts are true, they'll weigh us down.
When we open, dont look back,
    follow through with mindfull track.

    Sky engraved in song

    It should have been harder
    to let you run valleys away;
    there should have been remorse
for what I did up here anyway.

    The birds have taken up
a song we did not write,
    even more enchanting,
    chirping high in flight.

    You slipped from our mountain
    into some woebegone strife:
    an endless trail, deafened
to the sweet tunes of life.

Never again will you hear our
    trill enhance the morning climb;
for me, the sky has been engraved:
    that mockingbird now sings mine.

    On the Broken Train
    (The Leap)

    Luggage in one hand,
    handkerchiefs in the other,
    she found herself waiting
    for the next train -lost-
    in a distant station,
    with disheveled crimson hair,
    a bloody shirt -untucked-
    and a scarred face
    whose nuances became
    plainly passive.

    They forced her to marry
    a cold-hearted, portly miscreant,
    who sucked her youth nectar
    and exotic essence, exploiting her
    intrigue, tranquility...
    soul feverishness,
yet, she never found a chance to
    speak because of
    her timidness...
    -his indifference-?

    An arduous life-
    she couldn't bear anymore...
    Three years of subjugation
with a secluded presence to scorn,
    her soul was put onto
    usurpation, and destiny
showed her no clemency at all.
    Her torn heart, shattered apart,
    couldn't mend again
as two times she got pregnant-
    two times,
    she underwent abortion-
    never of her own
    free-will.

    The whistles of a forthcoming
train, she stepped onto, brought her
    ecstatic comfort.
    But questions of tomorrow
    and the never-ending sorrow
    drove her skeptic.
    Where would she go?
    What would she do next?
On nevertheless, the train took off
    -with swiftness- as her memories
    of an overdue life flashed
    right before her eyes
    while she leaped off
    -faultless-

It was the first time she
    said no to suffering-
the first time to take a
    permanent decision
    of her own, very personal
    -volition-

  • Innocent Fairy

    "Silk Ribbons Of The Wind"
    Silk ribbons in the wind,
    Embrace my skin.
    Silk ribbons of the wind,
    Shine, glow, and flow.
    Silk ribbons of the wind,
Show all the colors of the world.
    They come from a dimension,
    Beyond time it's self.
    Silk ribbons in the wind,
Can't be touched but can be felt.
They are pure and move with grace.
    They kiss your face.
    Silk ribbons fly with fireflies.
    Silk ribbons are my life.
They are what bind my soul,
    And inspire my voice.
    Silk ribbons in the wind,
Is the thunder in the clouds.
    I looked to the sky,
    Where the butterflies fly
And silk ribbons are what I found.

    Maple leaves of tomorrow

Sweetness of life won't always be there
happiness is not a goal to follow
the mark of maturity is learning
to suffer now for future rewards.

Yet somehow, a drip of honey
    fallen on ones lips
makes us stretch out our tongue
    without even concern
for the poor condition we are in.

I craved sweet things all my life
    in food, in drink, in ladies so fair;
now I am forced to abandon all
so that life seems only bittersweet.

Too much of a good thing, so true
when such good things turn on you:
make you lose sight of the world
make you stumble on numbed feet
    strip your fine tuned nerves.

    So farewell to the syrup,
    farewell to the maidens
don't take from me so early
    the maple leaves of tomorrow.

    Beach Butterflies & Sand Prints
    (Whimsical Foam of Beirut)

    Water crashing beneath
    toddling toes,
    sun kissed skin clutching,
    dreamy lingers...

    A rush of emotions,
    burning sands, burning
    lips,
    melting popsicles...

    Butterflies swishing
    with the hums of blues,
    eyes chasing birds
    along the sweating horizon...

    Warm sighs, flaming
    flickering lashes,
    moment struck
    under skies of heaven...

Embraced by cosmopolitan air amidst Beirut gulf,
I lay upon a bed of golden roses,
and a tidal wave hits me
    foaming over
    heart prints
    memories
    history...

    Mystery on Golden Avenue

    While walking along
    my embarrassement

    -with wind abducting
    me, my sanity calling
    out your name.

    Love waves at our kiss,
    as you struggle through
    the tide of my eyes,
    awaiting for a moment
    where I can be fearless.

    And...

    when mystery is whisked
    away, warmness winters
at my soul for a second

    then...we hug

    now words would
    apologize from painting
    what's going on.

I'll post the another one tonight! sorry for being late :)

    Maple Leaves of Tomorrow
    By : Noura Hatem
    (The Poetess)

    And as I ripen
    within the arms of
    a day that inundates
    each secret you once
    kissed upon my skin
    all of a sudden...you
    bring your black charming
    sweater and...

    I trifle here and
    there, attempting to erase
    what yore caused me
    of pain, disappointment
    and failure.

    Then a moment of
    that creepy silence prevails
    on our breaths, I
    once again begin to
    play with your hair,
    knowing that you
    should have been
    forgotten and deserted...

    (but between my breasts)

    -Have you ever sought
for a hot cup of oblivion
    in a Wintry dawn?

    Listened to all what
    you've got of music,
    but could not compose
    a memory?-

    (I have.)

    And then you drink
    your coffee, give me
    a kiss and migrate...

    (unaware of my inner
    breakdown)

    I'm solo...

    and the windows taste pale,
    rain adorns my misery
    I miss you,
    crave you,
    but your existence
    in my nights incinerates
    the maple leaves of my
    tomorrow...

    (Liberate me)
